The best quality/price relation in Lisbon

Advantages: The food, the premises, the relation quality/price
Disadvantages: none

We went to this discreet restaurant with terrace, taken by friends of Lisbon and… that differentiates! We ate in several restaurants in the previous days, some of them also in "baixa de Lisboa" and in "bairro alto"… we were disillusioned with the portuguese gastronomy… But the restaurant Nilo, located in the charmer "baixa of Lisbon" , near the beautiful "Rossio" and "Praça da Figueira", in a street with more than 20 restaurants, is differentiated ...
...with fresh and quality products to prices very in account, with an honest and effective service. They have delightful portuguese food from all regions of Portugal: codfish, Algarve´s style fried pork meat with shrimps, veal filets with Oporto wine, grilled fresh fish and beefsteaks. And very important!!! It is one of the few restaurants in Lisbon in which we were not robbed in the couvert price… I think to return there in Easter to eat the delicious ...

The current hotspot of Bairro Alto

Advantages: trendy and mixed crowd
Disadvantages: small and crowded

The Bairro Alto is definitely the area in Lisbon with the largest number of bars and clubs per square meter. Its narrow cobblestone streets are somewhat quiet during the day, with only a few trendy shops and typical restaurants open, but when it comes to nightlife it really comes to life! The street are almost always crowded with people wandering from bar to bar, especially at weekends (obviously) but also throughout the week. The centre of all ...
...that serves as meeting point for all the locals, and I'd say at the moment the "Clube da Esquina" (or "Corner Club") is exactly that. There you can find a mixed crowd of people of every nationality, race, social status or sexual preference cohabiting in harmony (aaaaaaahhh...). Review of Antiga Casa de Pastéis de Belém

Perfect place, later in the night!

Advantages: Beautiful decoration, cozy!
Disadvantages: No parking for car outiside!

I live in Lisbon and I didn't know they were serving dinners! I always went there later in the evening. So that's how I recommend the place! The decoration is really astonishing, small objects everywhere, great collections of miniature soldiers and other funny things. You won't take your eyes from the walls and ceiling! I see it as a good pub/bar, so with this deocratio, it's the perfect place to have a drink with your friends or have a light meal! ...
...different rooms, so you'll never feel you're in a crowded place! Every time I go there I feel like I'm entering in a whole new dimension. I recommend it to everyone who's coming to Lisbon and want to try a different evening. But if you're driving, is not a good solution. Go walking or take a taxi. It's in "Bairro Alto"! ...

5 star treatment...

Advantages: great music, lots of fun
Disadvantages: not so spacious...

Although im a local, im not actually much into going out in the night. Nevertheless, a couple of friends of mine convinced me to try out and promised me that i wouldnt regret. We met after dinner, and drove to Lisbon downtwon, to a place which i had known by head, called Xafarix. Despite being there for almost 20 years, it seems its getting better with age. It was originally concieved by portuguese singer Luis Represas, and has been a birth place ...
...the last two decades. But the new owners have just revamped the place, and added even more glamour to it. They managed to actually select thw who's who of entertainment and packed it inside, along with some fun and beautifull "mortal" people. The live music was fabulous, staff was specially firendly, and even the owners came to greet us at our table... Well, i guess i will come back for more... ...
