Advantages: Lots of history, plenty to see and do Disadvantages: Some areas are not suitable for disabled visitors
called "The Olive" was launched. Weighing 6,000 tonnes this marked the end of continuos shipbuilding in Whitby for almost four centuries. There was then a period of thirty years before boats were once again to be built in Whitby and two shipyards still exist near the harbour today, building small fishing boats known as "Yorkshire Cobles". These fishing boats are still constructed by traditional methods and during the summer months, when much of this work is undertaken outdoors, it is a joy to stand at the harbour and watch these skilled craftsmen keeping alive a centuries old tradition.

catering from a novice to someone who is a thrill seeker, and thus the tour will be more intense and exciting. The main tours can consist of The Express, The Discovery, and The Bridge climb.
The most popular and most famous of all is perhaps "The Bridge Climb", which is a 3 and half hour thrill seeking climb, which takes you to the outer reach of the bridge on catwalks and ladders reaching a height of 134 meters. This was one exceptional experience, because you get to see the whole city from the top of the bridge, the people, and cars look so little from that height. The views of the local Harbour, the Sydney Oprah and the city buildings are simply stunning, and its best to go on a hot summer?s day as the breeze from the sea really makes you feel cool.
Safety is a big issue on the tour as you would expect all safety checks are carried out ...
Advantages: Children will love it and its FREE to get in Disadvantages: Gets very busy
After living in West Sussex, and Littlehampton being just up the road, Harbour Park is a great place to take your children.
It?s a big tourist attraction so it does get busy throughout the holidays.
Harbour Park is in Littlehampton, West Sussex coast. To get to Harbour Park is very easy, it?s just off the A27.
Trains and Buses run regular to Littlehampton, and it?s a 5 ? 10 minute walk from the train station.
Harbour Park is on the seafront it has a sandy beach. Where normally if you were to walk anywhere else on the West Sussex coast its all pebbles. Not good for sitting on let me tell you. You can see the River Arun and its marina. It?s a lovely view.
Harbour Park is great for the whole family if you all want a good day out.
Harbour Park is open all year round, except Christmas day.
Your probably thinking ?How much? well ...
