Firstly, it is quite hard to find, there is a small sign pointing directly oopositte it but if you blink you miss it! Luckily you ... ...didnt enjoy my experince at little roadway farm, i was set against it more or less as soon as i arrived!! i would say that the only advantage was that they didnt have alot of customers which meant we could play music loud until the wee hours as it didnt bother anybody.
Also they area was very nice, I love woolacombe and croyde it is full of beautiful fields and hills, the view was fields every way you turned.

Before i go any further, i have to say it is just a field. Well, its two fields that have a shack that vaguely resembles a shop and a small toliet block. Because of this, the price is really low. We paid about 4 pounds for each night we stayed there which you cant argue with!
On entering the site, you report to the shop and get your tent tag and then you can pitch up anywhere on either field. It is not very big at all so the trek to the toliet block is not so bad.
The toilets are just gross. They reminded me of a stable actually! they had a huge wooden door and they smelt really bad! The floor was always wet and muddy, they looked like they hadnt even seen a bog brush and of course they didnt have paper! At the back of the block were the showers which were just as dirty, and it took around 10 mins for the water to warm up , by which time i had nearly finished washing which wasnt helpful. manovering around was hard too as there wasnt alot of space in them. As for other facilities such as washing up areas and water taps, i cant say that i saw one and presume people use the sinks in the toliets. The shop on site is very small and ridiculously overpriced, which they can get away with because the nearest shop is in woolacombe town which you have to get to by car as its too far to walk! They do sell everything you could need, however and if you are really desperate for something its very handy.
As you can tell i really didnt enjoy my experince at little roadway farm, i was set against it more or less as soon as i arrived!! i would say that the only advantage was that they didnt have alot of customers which meant we could play music loud until the wee hours as it didnt bother anybody. Also they area was very nice, I love woolacombe and croyde it is full of beautiful fields and hills, the view was fields every way you turned.
This place would suit you if you were travelling around the area and only staying for one night (thats all anyone would be able to handle i reckon!!) i left the campsite feeling dirty and and vowing never to return!!
