Defensively Liverpool did quite well but because we had literally no one in midfield for most of the game the only option for the defence when they had the ball was to launch alehouse balls into the night sky in the hope that either Heskey or Owen would win it. Lets face it, knocking Roma out of this competition is a magnificent achievement, they showed that they are a very good team, but this was a shockingly bad performance. If last week's performance in Rome really did make people sit up and think that "Liverpool could well be back", then last night's performance will have had them slumping back down and rolling out all the usual clichés about inconsistency and false dawns.
The evening started off on a high with the Paisley tribute. Mrs Paisley and the rest of the great man's family were on the pitch to witness it and what a sight it was. The mosaic stretched from the Kop, along the Lower Centenary and into the Road End (I even noticed a few Roma fans holding up cards). As I was stood in the Kop I don't know what image we were creating but the name of Paisley was spelled out clearly by the boys in the Centenary. As You’ll Never Walk Alone was belted out the mosaic gave way to hundreds of flags and banners and scarves. When we make the effort there is no one better than us.
And so to the game, lets just say we defended far too deeply and let Roma have it far too easy. While there was clearly no need for us to take the game to the Italians there was also no need for us to let them totally dictate the play. Defensively Liverpool did quite well but because we had literally no one in midfield for most of the game the only option for the defence when they had the ball was to launch alehouse balls into the night sky in the hope that either Heskey or Owen would win it. More often than not they didn't and another wave of attacks began.
The goal was as inevitable as Owen's penalty miss and had the referee actually allowed Roma to take the penalty he clearly awarded them then we'd have been in real trouble. It was a bizarre few minutes. A cross from the Roma left hit Marcus Babbel on what appeared to be his chest. A quick glance at the Ref to confirm he'd given a corner was met by the sight of him pointing at the spot and Batigol celebrating the decision. I couldn't bear to watch so I looked away, towards the corner flag in fact, where I then saw a Roma player who appeared to be preparing himself to take a corner kick. Confused? Not as confused as the rest of the Romans who, quite understandably, went berserk. After a flourish of yellow cards it was indeed a corner that restarted the game and we could all breathe again.
What was already a tense physical game now threatened to turn nasty as the challenges flew in all over the pitch. Tomassi was dismissed for a second bookable offence and on a number of occasions players squared up to one another. As the clock ticked down Roma were awarded a free kick was cleared vertically into the air by Carragher and for a second 45,340 people held their collective breath but Sander Westerveld was equal to the task and collected bravely. Seconds later it was all over. Its always a strange sensation to celebrate after a defeat and as an ever louder version of You’ll Never Walk Alone rang around the ground you had to feel that we'd had a healthy slice of luck!!

Advantages: its a quick way to lose weight Disadvantages: it can take time
I am going to start by admitting that i am over weight and probably need to start trying to lose some of my excess baggage. I say this however as some one who does not get that much free time and so cant join a gym. I say that I cant join the gym but its a case of really that I dont want to as I see it as a waste of time. In a gym in would take about an hour of pure hell for some one as large as me to start to feel the benefits and that would mean ... ...to start think about losing weight. My cause has however been made easier by companies such as slim fast and weight watchers. I joined the weight watchers plan about six months ago but had to leave the plan as I simply could not stick to the routine of having to work out how many points each piece of food I was eating would cost. Overall weight watchers is a good plan but needs a large amount of will power for it to suceed.
Slim fast is GOD in my ...

Advantages: its great Disadvantages: there are none
liverpool football club are the greatest in europe and the team have proven that this season by winning the three cups they were leagiable to win. Throughout the season the liverpool team has beaten the likes of Man Utd twice, arsenal twice, FC Porto, Roma, Alaves and best of all Barcelona who are considered on of the best teams in europe. The team has truly come together this season with the problematic defence finally sorted out with the likes ... ...top three strikers that can play for England they being Heskey Owen and Fowler who between them have scored almost 60 goals this season.
This season I was surprised to see that gerrard houllier was not voted as manager of the season even though he led a team to 3 cups, however the manager he lost to was a worthy opponent. thanks for reading this opinion ...

Advantages: Superb , great experienc Disadvantages: None
I was given tickets for the LiverpoolFootballclub stadium and museum tour, and may i just say what a superb experience this was!
We got taken everywhere, dressing room, down the tunnel, in to the Kop!
We even met the players after wards when they were on the way back from training for luch at McDonalds! he he
Any way! I would highly recomend it to anyone planning on going, even if you know nothing about football or support everton,
After all it may be the only chance you get when we move to stanley park in 3 years time! ...
Advantages: Experiencing the insights of your football idol Disadvantages: Not being allowed on the Pitch
and the possible move across the park to a new and bigger seat stadium.
We were allowed more photo opportunities and that concluded the tour, in all it lasts about 45-55 minutes.
You are then given the opportunity to go into the LiverpoolFootballClubMuseum upstairs, and view the trophy room.
This is a must, as it is here you can see the history of the club through the early years, to the present day.
There are lots of glass cabinets in here with old football shirts and boots worn by ex-Liverpool players, their medals, football programmes, cups and other memorabilia.
There is a 60 seat cinema, were recordings on a loop are played, presenting the history of the club,
sounds from the Kop are played when in the late 60's and early 70's, they would sing Beatle songs, can you imagine 40,000 fans singing "she loves you, yeah, yeah yeah ...
Advantages: Great City, Friendly People, Wonderful Buildings, etc Disadvantages: the constant BAD publicity we get
I thought I'd write an opinion on my home city Liverpool, as I'm totally sick of the stereo-typical bad press we constantly get off the Manchester and London biased media.
Liverpool has a huge ammount to offer visitors (as is shown in the figures that Liverpool is the 3rd most visited place in England, after London and Blackpool) and is despite what alot of people think a very friendly city to visit.
If you are thinking of visiting somewhere, where better than the home of "The most famous band in the world" The Beatles and their "world famous" museum, Two of the most famous and successful footballclubs in Europe in Liverpool and Everton (well I have to be honest dont I, Everton are a big club pity they are crap LOL), we have endless listed buildings and wonderful sites, there is the "World famous" Mersey ferries, The Liver ...
