Meet England's most obnoxious deputy manager
Advantages: Central Location Disadvantages: Everything especially the deputy manager
...occurrence whilst staying at the Campanile as you were constantly warned by posters dotted around the building that not only was the hotel not responsible for items stolen from the car park, but also from the ROOMS???
On the much awaited day of our departure, my father went to reception to pay his bill only to be overcharged by approximately £40 on the agreed price. I followed to make payment on my own bill and was greeted by the male deputy manager ... ...explained that this was not the price that had been agreed when I made the booking and showed a printout of the email which was addressed as having come from “Campanile Liverpool”. Apparently my booking had been made with an internet agent who did have allocated rooms at the hotel to sell and did have access to their system in order to make the booking but he claimed they were not responsible for the prices quoted. I couldn’t believe what I was being ...

Liverpool Lovelies Trilogy ... Part 2
Advantages: Loads of room to park our bottoms, jacuzzi, freebies and a huge bed! Disadvantages: Having to knock on the door like an old strumpet at 5am, paying for parking my car, cheek!!
...only for the night, The Holiday Inn Liverpool City Center. It was close to everything, in fact right on the doorstep of the clubs and bars, handy for late night stumbling, but one problem, the only room available was The Presidential Suite!! Jules being the die hard bargain hunter she is asked what we would get for our £175.00, we were told it included breakfast and we had a spa bath in our room. Jules' ears pricked up immediately, "A Jacuzzi?, We'll ... ...decorated and very clean as Holiday Inn's usually are. The standard double room would actually cost you £130.00 for the night, so remember for an extra £45 you can have the Presidential Suite, could you resist that? I know I wouldn't. This Particular hotel has 139 bedrooms in total and 7 meeting rooms. They also have a Health club on one floor, something we weren't going to be venturing into for certain, but nice to know eh? Their restaurant is called ...

Advantages: views/price Disadvantages: none
I stayed in the hotel a couple of weeks ago and was very very pleased with my whole experience. when we arrived we got a great quick and easy welcome by the staff and where given directions to our room. in the lift we went up to the 3rd floor we stepped out of thr lift and the space in the hallways was huge and was very clean and very modern. we found our room easily and we opened the door to find the most amazing view out of our window. The docks ...

Classy Liverpool Marriott
Advantages: Central, clean, helpful staff, good facilities Disadvantages: Price of food!
...my girlfriend stayed in the Marriott for one night back in March 2007.
The reception area in the Marriott is very nice and extremely clean.
When checking in the receptionist was very friendly, offering us extra services and any help/advice we needed for our stay.
The conceirge was also very polite, helping us in the lift and offering us help with our bags.
The actual room was great, a lovely view looking onto some of Liverpool's historic buildings ... ...clean and the bathroom was also very nice.
We had a meal in the hotel and although the service was second to none, and the meal was beautiful, the pricing was extremely high. We would not eat in the hotel if we stayed again as there are many lovely restaurants close by the hotel offering much greater value. The meal cost us £60 for two and we only had one bottle of wine (a little bit too expensive for us, maybe others would disagree).
The hotel ...

Do you want a bowl to wash your hair?
Advantages: Excellent location only a stones throw from Lime Street Station Disadvantages: Everything Else!
...be a little shabbier than the others, WRONG!
I am not adverse to budget hotels and I welcome them but for £60 for one night I do expect something a little better.
Upon arrival we were greeted by a receptionist who didnt relaly greet us and didnt talk until we said we were there to check in. They then attempted to charge me the full amount of the room despite the fact I had already paid a deposit. They make you pay before you get to your room.
... ...so didnt mind. Sat on the bed, with a paper thin mattress, and I could feel the base of the bed through it. Bed linen was a bit tatty. Large bathroom so went in to take a shower and there was a bath ,which I expected. However, there was also a silver bit wher the shower should have been attached and a blocked up whole where it would have attached into the taps but no shower attachment. I went to reception to see if they had a hose to attach so I ...
