Liverpool Lovelies Trilogy ... Part 2
Advantages: Loads of room to park our bottoms, jacuzzi, freebies and a huge bed! Disadvantages: Having to knock on the door like an old strumpet at 5am, paying for parking my car, cheek!!
...only for the night, The Holiday Inn Liverpool City Center. It was close to everything, in fact right on the doorstep of the clubs and bars, handy for late night stumbling, but one problem, the only room available was The Presidential Suite!! Jules being the die hard bargain hunter she is asked what we would get for our £175.00, we were told it included breakfast and we had a spa bath in our room. Jules' ears pricked up immediately, "A Jacuzzi?, We'll ... ...decorated and very clean as Holiday Inn's usually are. The standard double room would actually cost you £130.00 for the night, so remember for an extra £45 you can have the Presidential Suite, could you resist that? I know I wouldn't. This Particular hotel has 139 bedrooms in total and 7 meeting rooms. They also have a Health club on one floor, something we weren't going to be venturing into for certain, but nice to know eh? Their restaurant is called ...

Another amazing hotel in liverpool on the docks.
Advantages: views/price Disadvantages: none
I stayed in the hotel a couple of weeks ago and was very very pleased with my whole experience. when we arrived we got a great quick and easy welcome by the staff and where given directions to our room. in the lift we went up to the 3rd floor we stepped out of thr lift and the space in the hallways was huge and was very clean and very modern. we found our room easily and we opened the door to find the most amazing view out of our window. The docks ...

Don't stay here
Advantages: Central location Disadvantages: Where do I start??
...but this won't happen while Britannia are in charge. I have stayed at one of their Manchester hotels and have to say, it was every bit as disappointing and dirty as the Adelphi.
*UPDATE*
Just to let you know, The Adelphi has featured in the local press very heavily throughout the last couple of weeks of July. Apparently, over 80% of all hotel thefts in Liverpool take place in The Adelphi! The Tourist Board is threatening to kick them out unless ... ...in my opinion).

Very worrying, yet I can't say I'm surprised. There are interviews with ex staff members who claim skeleton keys are sold to would-be burglars for as little as £5 but that despite this, the locks have not been changed for many years. ...

Meet England's most obnoxious deputy manager
Advantages: Central Location Disadvantages: Everything especially the deputy manager
...occurrence whilst staying at the Campanile as you were constantly warned by posters dotted around the building that not only was the hotel not responsible for items stolen from the car park, but also from the ROOMS???
On the much awaited day of our departure, my father went to reception to pay his bill only to be overcharged by approximately £40 on the agreed price. I followed to make payment on my own bill and was greeted by the male deputy manager ... ...explained that this was not the price that had been agreed when I made the booking and showed a printout of the email which was addressed as having come from “Campanile Liverpool”. Apparently my booking had been made with an internet agent who did have allocated rooms at the hotel to sell and did have access to their system in order to make the booking but he claimed they were not responsible for the prices quoted. I couldn’t believe what I was being ...

newly refurbished for the worse
Advantages: location Disadvantages: none
I have been here several times. Following refurbishment went for another visit. They have now introduced table service - previously you placed your order at the bar & the order went by computer direct to the chef & a waitress brought you what you had ordered, usually only 2 waitresses were on duty. There were 4 waitresses in a half full restaurant & they were struggling to cope. Tables were getting incomplete orders, including our starter & we waited ... ...the main course was arriving before the starter had been finished. The food was very good but the portions appeared to be smaller than last few times we had been there. They later ran out of fish for fish & chips - Friday afternoon! Maybe the smaller portions were because they were running low on other courses? The menu has been reduced from our last visit & the desserts list was limited. Also the 4 waittresses were complaining about overwork & I ...
