Royal? I don't think so!

Advantages: Cheap rooms, cheap beer, free parking
Disadvantages: next to docks, sewage / chemical works

The Royal Maritime is a basic roomed hotel, the room I was in you could not swing a cat, it was a twin, with shabby curtains and a broken wardrobe, it was 9ft wide and 8ft long. The view was of the Liverpool docks and chemical works and if you could see through the haze of the chemical cloud you could just make out the 200ft high pile of rusting metal. Lets not put it down completely, it did have downstairs a spacious and conmortable lounge, with ...
...and cheerful. The breakfast was not of the highest quality, but you do get loads. The car park is not secure but it does have one, in the area there is another pub, with evening entertainment of a pole dancer, don't get excited she had seen a lot of poles! The beds were comfortable, and it was only £23 including breakfast. Its about 2 miles down the dock road from the centre of town, a nice walk in the daytime, but not really safe in the dark. ...

Relaxed elegance at The Trials Hotel, Liverpool

Advantages: Close to tourist attractions. Friendly personalised service.
Disadvantages: Improve plumbing

This venerable old hotel is located right in the centre of Liverpool. I stayed here for four nights last year. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I liked the classic ornate staircase. Stayed right at the top in executive suite which had a marvellous view of a large square outside dominated by statue of Queen Victoria. A great birdseye view from the window of Liverpool CBD and by craning my neck to the right, I could see the Mersey close by. Within ...
...Mersey while listening to a recording of Gerry and the Pacemakers. Also in this area is the famous Beatles museum/night club-well worth a visit. After a long day sightseeing it was a pleasure to return to our Split-level room elegantly furnished with period furniture. I felt safe and secure in this hotel. Points to consider - I had trouble with the loo in my room - refused to flush. Management fixed this problem after I requested it be looked at. ...

Crowne Plaza deserves another Crown

Advantages: 4 Star hotel, Situated in good location, Friendly staff, Beautiful hotel, Good hotel facilities
Disadvantages: Expensive

...However the bathrooms in the Crowne Plaza are perfect they just look beautiful and posh. I had enough space to stand around; I had space to put my clothes and enough room to shave without banging into the mirror I guess you can get my point. Bed and breakfast As part of the deal that I got was evening meal and breakfast included with the rooms (We had to pay for drinks) but it was a very good deal. We went down for dinner and were greeted ...
... Overall The Crowne Plaza is a lovely hotel situated perfectly by the waterfront in Liverpool I was surprised that the hotel is only a 4 star hotel but was very impressed. The rooms are gorgeous, the staff are helpful and I really enjoyed my stay. I will recommend the hotel to you. ...

place to stay!!!! excellent location

Advantages: very modern great if you like liverpools nightlife as only doors away.
Disadvantages: one bad thing was we found a pair of smelly mens socks under the sofa bed ha!!

...chose to stay at the spectrum apartments i didnt think it would be such a enjoyable experience. firstly we booked online on booking.com and the apartment was only £59 for one night which i think was a great price. when we arrived at the apartments we were met by a young lady who was very down to earth and kept it short and sweet gave us our room key and off she went. just as she went into one of the apartment on the complex we forgot to ask about ...
...within 2 minutes she was back with a password for us to get free parking. i thought this was great because on booking.com it said that parking was £10 for 24hours but as we found out when we arrived it was free. this is always a little bonus when you hear its free to parking because you know how much parking could be for 24hrs in a town such as liverpool. so we parked the car then went into the apartment. the apartment was gorgeous, very very modern ...
