Do you want a bowl to wash your hair? Advantages: Excellent location only a stones throw from Lime Street Station Disadvantages: Everything Else! ...be a little shabbier than the others, WRONG! I am not adverse to budget hotels and I welcome them but for £60 for one night I do expect something a little better. Upon arrival we were greeted by a receptionist who didnt relaly greet us and didnt talk until we said we were there to check in. They then attempted to charge me the full amount of the room despite the fact I had already paid a deposit. They make you pay before you get to your room. ... ...so didnt mind. Sat on the bed, with a paper thin mattress, and I could feel the base of the bed through it. Bed linen was a bit tatty. Large bathroom so went in to take a shower and there was a bath ,which I expected. However, there was also a silver bit wher the shower should have been attached and a blocked up whole where it would have attached into the taps but no shower attachment. Royal? I don't think so! Advantages: Cheap rooms, cheap beer, free parking Disadvantages: next to docks, sewage / chemical works The Royal Maritime is a basic roomed hotel, the room I was in you could not swing a cat, it was a twin, with shabby curtains and a broken wardrobe, it was 9ft wide and 8ft long. The view was of the Liverpool docks and chemical works and if you could see through the haze of the chemical cloud you could just make out the 200ft high pile of rusting metal. Lets not put it down completely, it did have downstairs a spacious and conmortable lounge, with ... ...and cheerful. The breakfast was not of the highest quality, but you do get loads. The car park is not secure but it does have one, in the area there is another pub, with evening entertainment of a pole dancer, don't get excited she had seen a lot of poles! The beds were comfortable, and it was only £23 including breakfast. Dolby - as exciting as the name suggests Advantages: Cheap, Clean, Comfortable, Helpful staff Disadvantages: Breakfast not included, poor bar selection And that isnt much folks! But, one cannot complain about what is essentially a bargain, stop over hotel located in Liverpool. This hotel cost only £41 per room per night, and when you consider each room is equipped with a double bed with a bunk bed over it therefore sleeping 3, that works out to be a very cheap per person per night rate. The rooms are what you would expect in a hotel of this nature, very basic but most importantly clean and comfortable. ... ...room, be warned they are extremely small. I took great pleasure in demonstrating how I could be peeing on the toilet, with my feet in the shower(yes thats right) whilst resting an arm in the sink all at the same time as watching the TV located in the "far" corner of the room. Hey at least they have sky, even if it is limited to around 10 channels. In reality however the size of the room did not annoy us in the slightest. Crowne Plaza deserves another Crown Advantages: 4 Star hotel, Situated in good location, Friendly staff, Beautiful hotel, Good hotel facilities Disadvantages: Expensive ...However the bathrooms in the Crowne Plaza are perfect they just look beautiful and posh. I had enough space to stand around; I had space to put my clothes and enough room to shave without banging into the mirror I guess you can get my point. Bed and breakfast As part of the deal that I got was evening meal and breakfast included with the rooms (We had to pay for drinks) but it was a very good deal. We went down for dinner and were greeted ... ... Overall The Crowne Plaza is a lovely hotel situated perfectly by the waterfront in Liverpool I was surprised that the hotel is only a 4 star hotel but was very impressed. The rooms are gorgeous, the staff are helpful and I really enjoyed my stay. Adelphi hotel liverpool Advantages: Location Disadvantages: Dated The adelphi hotel in Liverpool is the most famous of hotels in Liverpool with it's bid grand entrance and foyer this is by far the most historic hotell i know of. The queen has stayed at this hotel among the most famous of european football teams, actors journalists and the lst goes on. The adelphi is very very famous and is a good stay however the more modern traveller may be more suited to the other hotels in mersyside. but for a unique historical ... ...is a good stay .
