The room was great, it was very large and spacious and contained two Double Beds. This was ideal for us, because there were three of us. If you have any children under the age of 6 they can stay complimentary when sharing with 2 adults. But in my case, which I had a child aged 13, (the age for this offer is 6-15 years old) he could also stay complimentary when sharing with 2 paying adults but they/you have to pay for their meals.
The room had many facilities, these included :-
-Complimentary Amenities, such as Tea & Coffee, Shampoo and A wake up call
-In Room Facilities, such as a hairdryer, direct dial phone, Coffee/tea maker, Central heating, Air conditioning, trouser Press, Colour TV with cable/saterllite and the movie channes. And many more
-Ensuite Facilities, such as a toilet, bath, shower -You could also request services such as, non-smoking rooms, or a cot
-General Facilities such as a Desk & Lamp, a direct modem link, A dining table and even a fax machine.
-Safety Features, such as a fire escape, security chain, and smoke detectors.
-Disabled Facilities, such as Ground Floor Access, Brailed Elevators, Hearing Impaired services and Elevator/Lift Access
The food at the hotel is brilliant, if you eat here you wont be disappointed. Now then Breakfast is available from 7:00 to 10:00, the two available are a Full English for £ 11.50 or a Breakfast Buffet £ 11.50. Lunch is available from 12:00 to 14:00, and dinner is available from 19:00 to 22:00 hours.
To get there is pretty simple, go straight down the M62 and follow the signs or the Albert Dock, if you do this once you get there the hotel is located opposite the Albert Dock on Paradise Street. (hey you can always use an A-Z) You can only check in from 15:00, which can be pretty bad if you were hoping to get in early, and you must check out by 11:00 in the morning. If you decide to cancel your booking it has to be made at least one day in advance of your booking, if you don’t do this you will still be charged for one nights accommodation whether you turn up or not.
There is a Car park available to you nearby to the hotel, it is a Pay to Park system. There is a 24 hour porter service available, Post service, Laundry facilities, Medical services, Safety deposit boxes, and all the usual stuff you would expect from a hotel.
There is also a Swimming Pool, which is a decent size for you or the kids, Fitness Centre / Gym Facilities, a Fully Equipped Gymnasium, and an Aerobics dance studio
Overall this hotel is ideal for families, business people or anyone who just wants a break. I would definitely recommend it the room that I stayed in cost £50 per night, although it probably varies depending on what type of room you want.
...from a night at the Liverpool MH, i need to tell you the good and the bad !
As far as acomoadation goes it was great - 2 double beds in a room overlooking the BBC and steet. Noise and lighting no proble. Nice and very welcome temperature control in the room. Great location close to the Albert Dock for an evening walk and window shop. Nice well furnished bice communal areas around reception. Sadly I cant give anything other than the thumbs down to ... ...were charged £17.00 for a set ( and I mean set - even vegetarians had a choice of 1 dish) menu that was poor - I would feel cheated if I had paid £5. The chicken was covered in a bland white sauce. The vegetables were the same as had ben served up at lunchtime and the vegetarian option of noodles were so unappetising that everyone left 75 % of them. The satff were not very interested in whether the food was of quality - they just served it. The pudding ...

** Please Ignore this review - it is in the wrong category. I have requested that it be removed ** I stayed in this hotel for one night and thought it was really nice. I would stay again if I was up that way. Admitedly I didn't make use of most of the hotel facilities but what I did use I found to be well worth it.
The room was clean and well maintained and had a great view out over the albert dock. The staff were helpful and polite.
The residents ... ...big screen in it. As with all hotels the drinks in the bar were expensive as was the food. I had breakfast included in my room rate and would definitely have the breakfast again. The cooked breakfast was hot and plentiful. The only downside being that the toast is on the table and soon goes cold. Aside from that I couldn't fault the food.
The hotel lacks a car park, although there is a NCP carpark next door and various other car parks near by. ...

Advantages: Location (near the Albert Dock development and the City Centre shops) Disadvantages: The staff
The Liverpool Moathouse stands out from other Moathouses I have stayed with for being let down by its staff. The hotel itself is good with a reasonable restaurant (excellent starters and main courses but don't bother wth the sweet, it will probably be frozen). There is a useful pool and leisure facility and all the usual bits about the rooms are good - up the standard of the group.
However, from the start, I couldn't quite place why I felt the staff ... ...the wrong way. It wasn't that they were local - that is fine, I enjoy working with many Liverpudlians. Eventually, I realised it is that the staff almost never use the common coutesies of 'please' and 'thank you'. Coupled with an amazing billing system that means each drink charged to your room appears to be broken down into arbitrary amounts of odd pence on the bill - do they charge by the sip? - I was left with the feeling that local management ...
