LIVERPOOL – REVISITING MY STUDENT PAST Perhaps it is my age, but recently I had the urge to revisit my old student haunts when I went to what was then Liverpool Polytechnic way back in 1985. On mentioning it to my family, they thought it would be a good idea – my wife thinking it would be a good opportunity to go shopping, and my son to visit the famous Anfield, home of Liverpool Football Club. As a Beatles fan, I have always been interested in visiting was Liverpool. Some of my snobby mates in London were perplexed as to why I would want to visit this industrial city. Fortunately, my friends Katy and Dinny were as enthusiastic to visit Liverpool as I was, so we decided to stop there on the way back from a trip to Scotland. Most of you are aware that I spent the weekend with a Chicken and princess in the city of Liverpool . I have been home for two days now, the hangover and tiredness is on it's way out, but the memories will remain forever, so I would like to share with you the delights of wonderful Liverpool.
