Livorno. Not many people go to Italy to visit Livorno, but some take one of the boats there going to Sardinia or one of the other islands in the Mediterranean sea. There is not much you can do in Livorno, unless you are after cheap women in the area around the port. If you speak Italian, you may enjoy the way people from Livorno speak, they have their own peculiar accent and everyone takes the milk of them, especially people from nearby Pisa. They also have a local newspaper called “Livornocronaca detto il Vernacoliere”. It is very funny, but you must be Italian to appreciate it, it is full of bad words, very much satirical. There is also good food in Livorno, I had the famous “Caciucco alla livornese” in a very cheap restaurant in the area of the port, there are quite a few greasy spoons there.
