A GOOD CHEAP OPTION FOR VENICE

Advantages: PRICE and GOOD LOCATION
Disadvantages: STAIRS AND ATTIC ROOM

LOCANDA NOVO is a small Hotel , they describe it as an Inn, located on the main Island of Venice. We Quatro Fontanas (Fountain Travel Group) have stayed there once, and would consider it again. For the price this Hotel is very good but there are some limitations that might put you off if you have dodgy knees. First the location, OK it is not St Marks but you are not paying St Mark's prices. If you look through WWW.HOTELSCOMPARISON.COM site you will find offers of less than £50 per night for a double room with breakfast. The Hotel has its own web site WWW.LOCANDANOVO.IT which is quite good, but you will get a better price booking through other sites, but it does show you the official rate ...

LOCANDA REMEDIO Venice's hidden gem.

Advantages: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION
Disadvantages: NONE

We actually stayed in the Anex of Hotel Colombia that is called LOCANDA REMEDIO. You use the checkin of the Colombina, then they take you thru the back yard, DO NOT LET THIS DETER YOU. You then enter the Anex climbing a stone stairway that opens into a Beautiful Salon, this is where you will have breakfast, superb compared with small breakfast room in the main Hotel. The staff come across in the morning and set the tables in the Salon. The rooms around the Salon vary in size, some quite small (This is Venice) but all encharting. Location, 100 yards from Saint Marks. Cost we usually get a Double with Breakfast in March for about £40 to £50 a night. 2008 cant wait. ...

Bargain Bragadin in Venice

Advantages: Well located and an excellent price
Disadvantages: Very hard to find and lack of facilities

We've been enjoying taking advantage of some very cheap budget flights recently and my girlfriend found us a couple of cheap seats to Venice (okay, Treviso, but it's only a bus ride away!) Having never been to Venice and having no idea of where to stay I needed to find a cheap hotel and found this place on Hotels.com/Expedia for around £45 a night. That's a cheap price as far as I'm concerned so I went ahead and booked, using a voucher for the booking site brought the cost down to £40 a night, a price I was certainly happy with. Hotel Background The hotel was opened in late 2008 and is located in the area of Castello. The building is a former palace, dating from 1362, but you won't find a lot of ancient features. They like to point out that Casanova has stayed at the palace in the past. The name 'Bragadin' is from the man who ...
