Advantages: A unique experience Disadvantages: None
...A must for those who visit Venice is to ride on the Gondola, after all it is one of Venice's trademark. It's all very Venice from the gondola man dressed in striped shirts and hats to the whole trip itself. Your trip would not be complete unless you ride on one of these traditional rides. You can enjoy the lovely sceneries in Venice and go through the bridges-all sights are breathless and not to mention the live Italian serenade. I would certainly recommend to everyone , especially for couples going on a honeymoon trip...imagine listening to the live Italian song and enjoying a lovely, yet unique sceneries with your loved one! I can't remember how long was the ride, but I wouldn't mind experiencing it all over again!...

Advantages: Very inviting and clean Disadvantages: Busy
...My experience at Venice airport was very smooth, the buses to and from the terminals were excellent, and there was absolutely no hassle whatsoever. The baggage reclaim and passport control was smooth and when we left, we were greeted by fountains and flowers that were very pleasing to the eye, unmatched by other airports i have been to.
Outside the airport, taxis were easily available as well as other forms of transport and within five minutes of leaving the airport, the landscape was that of traditional italian countryside with canals and rustic barns every mile or so.
Venice itself was a very nice place with bagfuls of character and some charming squares and pizzerias that will stay with me for a long time.
The trip was made complete by having no stress at all and i thank Venice airport for that and i would thoroughly reccomend...

Advantages: Wonderful colour, sights and sounds. Disadvantages: Never known one.
...The place to fall in love with and the place to be with the one you love.
Venice is my personal favourite holiday visit. If I could I would live there.
We have visited Venice for the past seven years and we go again in March 08. We stay at the Loccanda Remidio Columbina just at the back of St. Mark's Square and on the canal with the Bridge of Sighs.
Six of us in 2004 visited the Venice Carnival and dressed for the occasion. The "Theme" was "The Silk Road." It was in Feb 2004 and we had snow, and rain, but the atmosphere was great. The costumes wonderful and full of imagination, (they had to be to keep warm.) People promenade every afternoon in St. Mark's Square then onto the stage and winners are chosen, how and who votes we never found out.
People come from all over the world to wear their costumes and to see and be seen, just have...

Firstly the photos of the hotel and room are quite deceptive; the Carlton Grand Canal Hotel is a crummy looking hotel with tiny rooms but apparently this is to be expected in Venice- it is also useful to note that there are many dilapidated looking... more
LOCANDA NOVO is a small Hotel , they describe it as an Inn, located on the main Island of Venice.
We Quatro Fontanas (Fountain Travel Group) have stayed there once, and would consider it again.
For the price this Hotel is very good but there are... more
