A review on the raleigh chopper mk3, good looking; not practical.

Advantages: you look cool, its an icon of the 70's,
Disadvantages: not practical, hurts your knees,

I bought a raleigh chopper on ebay in march 09, i was hugely satisfied with the deal i got, only used once, kept in a garage and still in pristene condition apart from a small amount of rust on the chrome. i bought it for only £80 when it was worth £300 when new,. I am a keen cyclist and it is impossible to hit high speeds on this bike, you feel super cool but it puts a lot of strain on the knees, the problem with the bike is it is so low, if you try to make the seat higher it still isnt high enough and you are still left with the same problem of hurting your knees. When i raised the seat, i had to raise the sissy bar but i raised it to the limit, someone pulled on the sissy bar and that bent a part of the framework and it it only minor damage but it isnt AS cool. Review of Raleigh Chopper

Raleigh, the place to party...yet relax

Advantages: Beautiful scenery, yet plenty of entertainment around
Disadvantages: The 'Americanisms' that can be picked up!

lunch and take you out "to see America" afterwards. Watch out for the language too. This might just be me and the fact that I was there for 4 months, but suddenly everyone is a 'dude' and everyone goes out to 'hang'. North Carolina seems to me to be a little known state to the rest of the world. We think of Washington, California and New York; Miami in the South (Disneyland) and everyone knows of Mississippi (is that spelt right?!) But North Carolina has all the beauty of New England but with more of the attractions for the younger generation. Dont get me wrong, if you want all night-clubbing, go to Ibiza. But if you want a relaxing break and a bit of fun, why not try Raleigh, North Carolina. I was very lucky as I was staying for 4 months as part of a university degree, but the first week I was there I couldn't do anything or go ...

Raleigh, Getting shabby with age

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Cheaply made

After having my Raleigh viper stolen from my garage, i decided to claim on the insurance and get a new one. I went down to halfords and was looking around, the raleigh stonefly seemed to catch my eye with titanium frame, alloy wheels, V-brakes, front suspension, 21gears and generally a good looking mountain bike, when i got home i assembled it and then started riding it, i had been riding it for about 3 days when my pedal bent off. This to my surprise was because Raleigh had made the pedal bars with a cheap, soft metal. So i took it back to Halfords and asked for a repair or replacement, which i got. Few weeks later, riding down a hill, put on my brakes and suddenly the back wheel buckled, so once again went back and got a replacement. 2 days later, was riding again and the chain kept falling off on the front gears because it was ...
