The Comedy Store in Coventry street nr Leicester Square in London is without doubt the funniest night out you can have in the capital. Set in a dark basement, the Comedy Store probably fits a good 200 people sitting in a horseshoe around the stage in 2 tiers. Entering from the back, one turns left to the bars and right to the heads. There are 2 performances a night, at 8 and at 12. Both usually will feature the same act. The comedy and venue are a combination that has to be experienced. Four acts perform over 2 halves hosted by a compere, normally up and coming or 'made' comedians. It's better going with a group of friends, get there early and book in advance, tickets for the weekend go fast, but they do hold back 100 for the door on the night - get there at 7 to be sure. It's a great laugh and not to be missed if you are visiting London
