London by river - sighteseeing with a difference
Review of London in general by TouristTrish

Advantages: A whole new perspective on London
Disadvantages: More time consuming

...would be possible to see London entirely by boat. After a little research, I've decided that it's definitely do-able and here's how I'd go about it. Hop-on Hop-Off River Tours City Cruises is one of the original, open deck sightseeing cruises in London, and also does evening dinner and dance cruises on the London Showboat. Their River Red Rover sightseeing ticket allows you to make stops at Westminster, Waterloo, Tower Pier and Greenwich. ...
...and Cabinet War Rooms, the London Eye and London Aquarium. Then take to the river again and get off at Tower Pier which is right next to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge Exhibition. Across the river, you could visit the London Bridge Experience or the London Dungeon for some good old-fashioned screaming in the dark - light relief after all the culture you've been absorbing. Then walk along the south bank to the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, the ... Read review

Streets still paved with gold
Review of London (England) by Galadriel1010

Advantages: The most enchanting, thrilling city I've ever visited
Disadvantages: Can get expensive

...but whenever I go to London I want to live there, more than any other city I've ever visited. It was a long time before I visited London for the first time. I went with school when I was about 13, then again with my family when I was 14 or 15 and a couple of times since. To put this in context, I visited Beijing when I was 15, and without the school trip there I would probably have visited the capital of China before I visited the capital of my ...
...my first trip to London I loved it to bits. I don't know whether it's the amazing mix of old and new, the sheer number of people or the huge variety of pretty much everything, but it's got something that Birmingham, Leeds, Coventry and Glasgow simply don't have, but Manchester, Beijing and London do in bucketloads. I remember dragging my parents and godfather (who lives there) to Chinatown, shortly after my Beijing trip, to look round, and wandering ... Read review

These Aisles are British
Review of Getting around in London by tube by jerry6525

Advantages: You name it
Disadvantages: You name it

I have made a decision about my life. This has not come from my latest visit to the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, nor from my consultation of the Delphi Oracle. Actually the Maharishi (or Mazz, to his friends) did not have a free epoch in his diary for me, and the EasyJet flight to Delphi dropped me off in the next door country. But nonetheless, I have reached this crossroads of life with a decision... I am going to be the Robin Hood, the Arnold Schwarzenegger, ...
...I will pledge to pay gallant allegiance to the millions. Bring me my spear of burning gold - in that I shall bring a new Jerusalem to the world of the subterranean, as I notch my arrows on the side of the oppressed against the ranks of the selfish. I shall return to my mission in due course, but for now gentle reader, read on. The London Underground is without doubt the best Mass Transit Passenger railway in the world. In terms of how such an accolade ... Read review

A real sense of history.
Review of The First Emperor (China's Terracotta Army), British Museum by TheWizardsSleeve

Advantages: Superb sense of history, close up view
Disadvantages: crowds

...ago that we heard that The Terracotta Army was to leave the shores of China for the first time and take up temporary residence in The British Museum. This was an opportunity that simply could not be wasted as this exhibition may never find it's way to these shores again. We therefore booked tickets on-line and had a wide choice of availability in terms of time slots/dates given we were booking so far in advance. Tickets cost £12 adults/child under ...
...23 March 2008). However, given the exhibition is nearing an end all advanced tickets are sold out although up to 500 tickets (Monday - Friday) or 700 tickets (Weekend) are available on the day from the Museum. At the time we went there were few people in the queue for on the day tickets so try and get there as early as possible. ***History*** The First Emperor, Ying Zheng, was born 259 BC and was one of the world's great rulers. At the age of 13 ... Read review

Its Needs to improve and fast
Review of Getting around in London by bus by k800ifan07

Advantages: Great to use between 9am - 3pm
Disadvantages: Buses run empty in Central London and Full in Greater London

As I Live in London the buses are not so great then what you think. The Buses are contacted out by TFL to comapnies such as London Central, Selkent. etc. The Buses are needing to be upgraded to more state of the art. The buses are allways packed in the Greater London Area while Buses in central London run with only a few people on. I think the buses in Greater London should have more added on to the route. as i said about upgrading the Most current ...
...are in very good condition. But what upsets me in they use the newwer buses PF56 On the school bus routes. The new buses are damaged by the school kids as when you go on a top deck of one the newwer buses the windows have been damaged, Graffite on the windows and seats, swear words and messages on the back of the seat. So why can't they get the old buses to destory instead of the new ones. More things which make me very upset about the buses is that ... Read review
