I was really looking forward to get onto the London eye.
I even went a fortnight before to get the tickets.
My ride was for 9:30 to 10:00p.m. which BA has decided will not be available to public in September onwards. Becoz' they have decided to rent it to Corporate function only.
Back to the eye. The first 5 minutes was like WOW!! we are going up , look here, House of Parliment, look there St Paul's. Where is Canary Wharf?? Oh, look there's BT tower. Where does Tony lives?
and what's that? It's Mininstry of Defence.
After 5 minutes then every one realise there are seats in the middle the capsule goes up very slowly, as if we were not moving , from then on it's downhill, everyone just took some pictures and sit down in the middle and start complaining why is it going so slow? It's getting a bit boring.
And the verdict? It's one of thise been there, done that thing, really it's not really that spectacular.
One more thing, if you have enough airmiles, use it.
Paying 8.50 pounds for this is too much.In fact I wouldn't go if it wasn't free from the airmiles.
