Because I'm from up North it's not often I get the oppertunity to travel down to London but when I dd I ensured I had an evening free to check out the London Eye.
I got the tube from Ealing Broadway to Westminister(I hope I've spelt that correctly I'm not to familiar with the tube stations!) and walked up to the wheel. You could also travel to the London Eye by bus, Taxi or Car, but the underground is probably the fastest way to travel to the attraction.
So i reach the wheel and the first thing I notice is the sheer size of the thing and the number of capsules whizzing round it. It is quite a sight and quite overwhelming although extremly impressive.
I then walk up and find there is a 30 minute wait before I can actually get on the wheel. There were special reservations made and people who paid more money than yourself kept pushing infront of you, so I found I was waiting longer than 30 minutes. This was a bit annoying but I suppose it is a modern attraction and is in the heart of the capital itself.
I had bought my ticket fo £40 off a friend, so unfortunately I don't know the actual prices but I hope I wasn't hard done by!
When I finally got on the wheel I was on with about 20 other people, which was O.K as I managed to get some cracking photos and enjoy the beautiful scenery over looking London. I managed to see the Millenium Dome(only just), Big Ben, the Houses of Parliment and the Tower of London amongst others.
The ride lasted about 30 minutes and when you got off there was a chance to purchase photographs of your capsule but they were quite expensive.
I throughly enjoyed the experience and would love to go on the London Eye again, although the price isn't cheap! Well worth seeing-it overlooks the River Themes brilliantly.

Advantages: scenic view that presents london in its various "moods" Disadvantages: technical faults were quite disturbing as it lasted for a period of 30 mins.
