But you can find a spot after a long, long search.
The car parks are really expensive in the short term and indeed the long term, and also in need of some paint. They are ugly but do the job – they look after your cars. They are relatively safe but poorly signed and hard ...

Advantages: Organised Transfer System Disadvantages: Overloaded transfer Buses
On a recent trip to Toronto I had cause to use the Transfer facility at Heathrow airport.
I flew to Toronto via Heathrow from Manchester, it was'nt so much the change of terminals that bothered me but how it was going to happen, I had tried the BAA website but could not find any info for transferring passengers thus I had no idea what to expect.

This is where you could take a shuttle bus to which ever terminal you had to get too. There was quite a queue forming so I thought it would take ages, however as soon as one bus departed another would appear to carry on loading. I did get a bit concerned with the amount of people they were ...

Advantages: Handles lots of tourists Disadvantages: Too busy, badly designed.
With recent event affecting the global market for air travel, many flight related industries are laying off many staff.
Boeing, who make the planes, are laying of 12,000. Airbus have no new orders. United Airlines are laying off staff as are British Airways and Virgin.
With the reduction in size of our air carriers, the question is, do we really need the nwe Terminal 5 at Heathrow?
From early indications, it would appear the general public has ... ...and passengers is likely to follow.
This would make airports less busy and the demand for new terminals les and less.
Could Heathrow now cope with just 4?
Well I doubt it. This is a temporary glitch. People will soon want to fly again. People still need to go on holiday. People still need to go on business trips and this will inevitably grow and grow once recent events have faded from memory.
I expect Heathrow Terminal 5 is only a matter of time. ...

...intensity. The windows at the far end look out over the airport tower and runways. The place generally was tidy and clean!!
We were seated courteously and efficiently and offered our menus. The bar boasts a range of home and imported bottled and draft beers (including Sam Adams Boston Lager on tap and their own McCoy’s Amber Ale brewed under licence by a brewery in Louisiana. The menu is a delight among bar food menus and features a wood-fired pizza oven. We chose a mixed platter as a starter (Chicken tenders, Deep Fried Buffalo shrimp and Chicken Pot Stickers – all with a variety of spicy dips). This was followed by a “catch of the day” (grilled grouper) and a Cobb salad. With beers and tip this came to $62.
You may be aware that airports use a three letter identification code (LondonHeathrow is LHR; Newcastle is NCL). In case you...

Advantages: Cheap, could get tickets Disadvantages: poor service and facilities
...We have recently come back from a round trip LondonHeathrow - New Delhi flying Aeroflot. We flew via Moscow Sheremetyvo Airport about which I have written in another write up.
In my 20 years of ‘flying history’, I have flown Aeroflot for the first time. We chose this Airline as seats were available and price was low (£365) compared to BA (£570) for the same sector. For a family of four, this meant quite a bit of saving and we were quite happy to get a good deal. The ground staffs at LondonHeathrow (LHR) were very sharp spoken. One lady with an oversized hand baggage was treated very roughly. I learnt after the trip though that what they said was not so bad but how they said was the real problem! We luckily got a counter staff (a man) who was quite reasonable. In LHR boarding passes were issued for London- Moscow sector only...

Advantages: I can not think of any Disadvantages: Too many to list
...I feel compelled writing to share a recent experience I had with Sabena, the Belgium Carrier, with you all.
It should be noted, that whilst I booked the flight with Sabena and my Ticket was a Sabena Ticket, the flight was actually operated by Virgin Express, a code share partner with Sabena.
Whilst I accept that weather is outside the control of airlines, I do not accept that this seems to be frequently used as a "cheap" excuse by the airlines.
To elaborate:-
I was unfortunate enough to have booked a flight on Sabena from Brussels (BRU) to LondonHeathrow (LHR), using the following Itinerary:-
14.11.2000, BRU to LHR 10:25
15.11.2000, LHR to BRU 18:25
I use the word "unfortunate" for the simple reason as I, like my fellow passengers, have been subjected to a delay totalling nearly 9 hours on two segments of about 40...
