Yes, I think you either love Heathrow or hate it.
It is one of those airports where the first time visitor can feel very lonely. There may be many a sign but seemingly never the one you want. If you want some advice you need every skill in the book to find someone with the time to stop and talk to you. There may be many shops to browse but I find them a total bore. Need a hand with your baggage? Think again.
Park your car? Yes, but you might need a second mortgage.
Nevertheless there is an excitement about Heathrow and it simply buzzes with people doing things and going places and some of them very exotic. The mix of business and holidaying cutomers justs adds to the mayhem and it is an education just to watch and listen. There are conversations trite and banal, snippits of intrigue, tempers being frayed all over.
Yes, on balance, it is better to be there than not, especially if you are on the way out and not on the way in. Waiting for someone to arrive. Tha's another story.
