Some of the best view in London...
Advantages: A luxurious hotel in a fantastic position Disadvantages: very pricey
...when my grandparents were visiting London for their 80th birthdays. This was a lovely stay as my grandparents hadn't been to London in years and my grandfather was very keen to ride on the London eye whilst my grandmother was keen for me to find a hotel in which as she phrased it, 'that he will have to dig deep into his pockets for'. She was aiming for nothing less than luxury! Obviously there are a huge number of hotels available in central London ... ...two rooms, including breakfast and London eye tickets at a special offer of £ 280 per room per night which for this particular hotel is very good. The hotel is centrally located on London's South Bank, the luxury 5 * London Marriott Hotel, County Hall is traditionally elegant. Breathtaking views overlooking Big Ben & the River Thames await you & the hotel amenities and first-class service are the envy of many hotels in London. *Our arrival & check ...

Holiday Inn- all you need for a short stay in London
Advantages: Good value for money, well positioned (close to shops, restaurants etc.) Disadvantages: Limited parking, not as modern as many other hotels
...room, in which case the Holiday Inn is a good place to stay. We ordered the full English breakfast each morning- there was a good selection of food and you could take as much as you like. However, the dinner menu was mainly Indian food so there wasn't a great variety to choose from; so we decided to find a nearby restaurant (which there are plenty of). The hotel rooms are spacious and clean with plenty of storage and although the decor was slightly ... ...to other London hotels, the Holiday Inn was very reasonably priced but I would still recommend that you book a room online, since it is considerably cheaper. This hotel is perfect if all you're after is a place to sleep, shower and breakfast before heading out to explore all that the city has to offer! ...

Cheap hotel close to Heathrow
Advantages: Cheap, close to Heathrow Disadvantages: Expensive Hotel Hoppa Bus, very basic, poor food
...commuted from Manchester recommended the Ibis to me. Cost: The cost was the major decider for me. Using the 'Crew' code on the online booking system I was able to get a room for £25 a night. Don't try this if you aren't airline crew though-upon check in the receptionist will check that you have a valid airline crew ID card and photocopies it! Normally rooms here are between £50 and £60 per night if you book in time. Not bad for an airport hotel, ... ...handsoap. Food: The Ibis offers a buffet dinner but it looked very unapetising. They don't deliver food to the room so on my first night I went down to the bar. There was a very limited choice of food-toasted sanwiches, burgers, pasat type ready meal things so I settled for a jacket potato with tuna mayo and a soft drink. This cost me £8.75. I then took it up to my room on a tray to eat it rather than sit in the bar with a group of rather leery men! ...

Cheap, no frills Hotel in the centre of London
Advantages: Cheap, centrally located, helpful staff, Disadvantages: small rooms, very tired building, facilities limited to the absolute basics,
I have stayed at the County hotel a few times now. It is definetely not a luxury experience, as you would expect for £43 a night so near the centre of London. The single rooms have just enough room for a desk, tv, kettle, cupboard space and sink. The double rooms have a bit more space but not by much. The rooms themselves are well worn and a bit dog eared, but they do serve their purpose. The beds are comfortable, but expect your grannies's old scratchy ... ...of showers and baths on each floor, and the showers are hot and powerful (be warned!). Wireless internet is available (although I haven't used it), and you aren't more than a few minutes from Euston station. The hotel is part of the Imperial Hotels chain and parking is available under some of the other hotels nearby, although all of them charge extra and are within the Congestion Charge Zone.
The hotel is currently being redecorated, and has just ...

Travelodge Uxbridge, London (10 pictures included)
Advantages: Read text Disadvantages: \
...To the right of the Travelodge hotel is the bus station and to the left of the hotel is a Hairdresser or Barber shop. From the easy location to and from London on the Metropolitan line service which runs from Uxbridge, made me interested in booking a night stay here. From a location perspective this hotel is really good as there are two shopping centres in Uxbridge with a popular high street as well. From ciao's caption picture, the hotel from the ... ...hundred pounds a night. This Travelodge in Uxbridge from my booking experience is certainly far cheaper than staying in a much better brand of Hotel such as the Marriott or the Best Western hotels to name a few which are located quite closely in Heathrow. Other major hotels chains do not operate in Uxbridge town centre which leaves the Travelodge as the main hotel in this area.
Reserving a room
I used the website and booked on line in around ...
