Hilton Hotel, Gatwick
Review of Hilton London Gatwick Airport, London by martinwi

Advantages: Right on the Airport doorstep and connected via walkways.
Disadvantages: NOT cheap!

...Consider signing up for the Hilton Honors card before you go. Its free but will enable you to get to check in or out quicker than other people. BOTTOM LINE: Good Point: You can walk to the airport in about 5 mins so NO fiddleing about with getting curtsey buses! Bad Point: It'll cost a bit more than other hotels but the convenience of the location could well make up for it. ... Read review

It even has a Good swimming pool
Review of Jurys Clifton Ford and Health Club, London by RichPrice

Advantages: Good 4* Deluxe Hotel
Disadvantages: Rooms lack individual character

Jurys clifton Ford Hotel is a good 4* hotel. Part of the Jurysdoyle group. There is a website which has some information about the hotel at www.jurysdoyle.com. I stayed there in an Executive room for 4 days whilst in London on Business. The hotel was booked through an online discounter (laterooms.com). I managed to obtain an executive room and pay for a standard at a discounted £80 per night for Bed & Breakfast. The Staff were professional and ...
...of the public areas are furnished to a high standard and spotless The Room was a large well equipped room with excellent furniture, spotlesssly clean and well decorated. A little lacking in character but most large hotels suffer from the same problem. The extras were nice fluffy bath robes, fluffy toiwels there was even some aromatherapy stuff provided. The beds were really comfortable with cotton linen and duvets The Airconditioning was quiet ... Read review

A bargin at The Chesterfield
Review of Chesterfield Mayfair, London by moorep3

Advantages: High quality and excellent location
Disadvantages: Rooms on the small side

...of january 2007 at the Chesterfield Mayfair with my wife and another couple. I booked us this trip through expedia.co.uk as I have found them very good before, particulary their bargin hotel prices, and did again this time. I found expedia especially good on this occasion because apart from the trip being everything that we were promised our trip was to take place over a period of proposed strike action by BA staff (the airline we had chosen to use). ...
...to the hotel............ The Chesterfield Mayfair is advertised as a top class hotel and we checked this out on tripadvisor.com where they rated it very highly (top twenty hotels in London). It really was very nice indeed. LOCATION- is excellent, right in the heart of the really residentail part of Mayfair (Close to the Ritz, Berkly Square, Sunseeker yacht showroom, Porche dealership etc) it was only a 5 minute walk from Green Park tube station ... Want to stay in Mayfair?
Review of Washington Mayfair Hotel, London by wookiee

Advantages: In the centre of London, great breakfast, fairly good value
Disadvantages: Tired decor, noisy water pipes, poor TV channel choice

...and stayed at the the Washington Hotel in Mayfair. Do I reccommend this hotel - well it is good value. I booked direct from their website and it cost £89 plus VAT including full breakfast for two. This is for a 4 star hotel in the heart of London. The foyer is nice, clean, spacious and welcoming and check in was without any hassle. Our room was clean, but the decor in the room was tired. Some chips on the furniture, scuffs on the walls and skirting ...
...also a bit of a satellite TV fand there was only Sky News, CNN and some Indian channels, plus the normal 5 terrestrial channels. Even though Sky Sports was promoted in the room literature it wasn't there, so rather disappointing. The bed was comfortable, but it took a while to get to sleep because of some noisy waterpipes. Breakfast in the morning was the best bit - buffet choice of a full English, plus continental. All good quality stuff in a bright ... Read review

Excellent Choice!
Review of Royal Horseguards, London by richardsonjones

Advantages: Location, Customer Service
Disadvantages: Quoite pricey (but worth it)

As a regular visitor to London I'm often lucky enough to squeeze in an overnight's stay. Recently, whenever possible, I've tried to ensure that I stay here, as it it perfect for all of my requirements. Firstly, the hotel is perfectly located - just a few hundred metres from the Embankment underground station on the Bakerloo, Victoria, Circle and District Lines. The hotel is situated directly opposite the London Eye overlooking the Thames, and is ...
...etc. I've stayed in this hotel several times now, and (with just one exception which was quickly remedied) have always received impeccible levels of customer service. My last stay here was this weekend. My mum and I stayed in an executive twin room on teh 4th floor overlooking the Thames. On previous stays I've had less attractive views over the entrance to the hotel, although the standard of room has been the same. The room had two lovely soft ... Read review
