Funkiest hotel in London?
Review of Sanderson, London by newty1977

Advantages: Very modern, trendy, full of stars
Disadvantages: Prententious City and very expensive !!

"Sanderson Hotel" 50 Berners Street London W1T 3NG Telephone - 0207 300 1400 Fax - 0207 300 1401 Firstly, I really am not sure whether I am going to find enough superlatives to accurately describe this hotel, but we'll see how we go… ~~~~~~~ Location ~~~~~~~ The hotel is located on the northern tip of Soho on Berners Street, just off Oxford Street. The nearest tube station would be Oxford Circus, but Tottenham Court Road would not be too ...
...park my car when I travel to London, Oxford Circus is an easier tube stop for me to get to this particular hotel. As you walk up Berners Street, with Oxford Street to your rear, then the hotel is located approximately 200 yards on the left hand side, beyond The Berners hotel, that you may note on the right hand side. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ History & Style of Hotel ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The hotel is an old office / warehouse of the textiles company ... Holiday Inn Near Oxford Steet London
Review of Holiday Inn Garden Court London - Oxford Circus, London by sarahj0801

Advantages: Close to Oxford Street for all your shopping needs!
Disadvantages: Expensive, really small reception and bar area

I have stayed in many Holiday Inns around the UK, and this has to be one of the smallest. However, what it lacked in grandeur it gained in location. Situated in Marylebone just 5 minutes walk away from Oxford Street for all your shopping needs!. Also just 5 minutes walk from the nearest underground being Bond Street, Oxford Circus station is a 10 minute walk, this is obviously handy as there is no parking at the hotel. My main reason and attraction ...
...a scheme offerered by the Holiday Inn Group which allows you to gain points for staying at Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza and Intercontinental Hotel Group. Not just in the Uk either but around the world. Once you have accumulated enough points you can swap them for free nights accomodation. I am honest enough to say that I still haven't reached that point, but luckily the points just carry on accumulating and do not recommence for ... Read review

Weekend break at the Hampshire
Review of Radisson Edwardian Hampshire Hotel, London by IanJ99

Advantages: Complete luxury in the most central London location
Disadvantages: £600+ final bill

I recently stayed at the Hampshire for 2 nights during a theatre trip with my partner. As a treat I booked a junior suite (through radissonedwardian.com). At a nightly rate of £261 (ex. VAT) it was not cheap, but we were rewarded with a wonderful room right at the heart of Leicester Square with a very comfy king size bed, leather sofa, mini bar, marble bathroom with seperate toilet cubicle, shower, bath, and double wash basins. It was spacious, spotless, ...
...4th floor). Hotel staff were friendly and courteous, and service prompt, professional, unfussy, and discreet. Our bags were carried to the room without hesitation. We took breakfast in the room and even though we were told to allow a half hour 'window', it still arrived exactly at the stated time. There was far to much food though. I tipped for all services I used, but this was optional and my own choice. Be aware that in the restaurant/bar the tip ... Read review

Marriott Marble Arch - London
Review of London Marriott Hotel Marble Arch, London by jomarannetyn

Advantages: Best bed i have slept in
Disadvantages: No tube station close by

...wanted to go on the London Eye this year as i thought we would get a good view of the fire works. The hotel is of a very high standard and is kept well maintained, although we felt it was expensive for where it is situated compared to other hotels. The bedrooms are very tastefully decorated and are quite roomy compared to other hotels. It had a queen size bed which is about the size of a double bed plus half again, the mattress was soft and comfortable ...
...one and the pillows were large and fluffy, it is the best bed i have slept in i had a thoroughly good night sleep. The room also had a shower/bath and a sofa, TV with alarm clock and telephone, iron and hairdryer, the Wardrobe space was plentiful with about 10 hangers in total. It is a 5 - 10 minute walk to the nearest tube station which doesn't sound too bad until you have walked all the way down Oxford steet because the tube stations are undergoing ... Read review

My favourite London hotel
Review of The Trafalgar Hilton, London by DuckJen

Advantages: lovely hotel
Disadvantages: a tad pricey!

...Location, location, location.... As the name suggests in is located in Trafalgar Square in London and is easily accessible by tube. First Impressions The seting of Trafalgar square is impressive in itself but the hotel is set in a lovely old building in the south west corner. When stepping inside though there is a sharp contrast as you are hit by a truely modern and chic surrounding. It would be fair to say that this is not your standard Hilton. ...
...a matter of minutes. The reception desk is a sort floating glass desk just next to the hotels large downstairs bar. The reception staff were really helpful and I have no complaints whatsoever. Rooms Very modern and contemporary. I loved the rooms here - They were quite minimalist in neutral tones. The bed was huge (Very comfy!) with a large oak headboard that spanned nearly the whole wall. The chairs are also modern and ergonomically designed, ... Read review
