The hotel is of a very high standard and is kept well maintained, although we felt it was expensive for where it is situated compared to other hotels. The room also had a shower/bath and a sofa, TV with alarm clock and telephone, iron and hairdryer, the Wardrobe space was plentiful with about 10 hangers in total. We first stayed at the London Bridge Hotel on the recommendation of Great Rail Journeys as an overnight stop before travelling on Eurostar from Waterloo. Not a three star hotel! This is not even a one star hotel. The room was tiny. The television only worked on one snowy chanel. The bathroom smelled of mold and the shower curtain was slimy. There was no plug for the drain so it was impossible to take a bath. There were no glasses, very few towels, and no extra pillows. The pillows smelled and were dirty and the extra blanket had large holes. There were bugs! I received many bites and developed sores ...
...make a cup of tea. The staff were not helpful and they didn't seem to care. The carpet was threadbare and dirty (greasy). There was constant noise all night and the floors were very noisy when anyone walked on them. Outside the window there were many cigarette butts and other trash.
