Great value hotel
Review of Express by Holiday Inn Express, London by afraser

Advantages: Handy location, good rooms
Disadvantages: Not really any

I stayed at this Greenwich hotel this Christmas and was drawn to it because of its cheap price for quality rooms. I booked through hoteldirect.co.uk. The location of the hotel is excellent. Although the area around it is not very aesthetically pleasing, it is close to the O2 arena and a local retail park which was great for my holiday, yet it is far away from central London so not busy. The hotel is near the Blackwell Tunnel and I was anxious about ...
...was not the case. From the hotel you can see many great things such as the O2 and Canary Wharf, which produced some great shots on my camera. The staff were helpful but not intrusive on my visit. The rooms themselves are probably described as being quite basic. However I am used to traveling abroad to countries like Greece, so I thought the room was great. The beds were clean and comfortable, the bathroom complete with a power shower and W.C.. ... Read review

No holiday for me at Holiday Inn
Review of Express By Holiday Inn Wandsworth - Battersea, London by trevorbrock

Advantages: Conveniently located, well priced, spotless and comfortable
Disadvantages: No proper restaurant

Holiday Inn - Wandsworth. 1 Trevor has upgraded. Those who know the scrimping and penny-watching that has been part of my character from Scottish schooldays, will know that my regular trips to London all target the cheapest accomodation available. Well, not quite the cheapest - I try to ensure they are flealess, clean and with a bed that accomodates my full frame. Usually Travelodge gets the vote, and I have ladled the praise to them in the past ...
...beat the local Travelodge on price, believe it or not. Well, it was a bit more complicated than that. Members of David Lloyd leisure clubs have (or had until the buy-out) access to members' benefits with other organisations. I don't usually pursue these as you are offered 10% discount, say, off of a full price - which is discounted by 20% everywhere else.! However, this time I discovered that the price offered for the Wandsworth Holiday Inn was ... Read review

Enjoyed my stay here
Review of Express by Holiday Inn London - Hammersmith, London by moneybags_82

Advantages: Free continental breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff
Disadvantages: bit noisy

I stayed at this hotel back in May when I went to London for the first time for a long weekend. Wasn't really sure what to expect but I had a great time. Hotel Rooms Room was very clean and also had air conditioning which was just as well as weather was great when I was there. I had a room based at the front of the hotel which meant I had really good views but this was a little noisy as hotel doesn't have double galzing. There are tea and coffee ...
...so didn't use these. Plenty of room to hang your clothes but didn't bother unpacking as was only a few nights. Room also has tv which radio stations too and wireless keyboard if you're there for business. Toilet was very clean and bright, a sqeezy dove soap was included and also one of these in the shower too, saves taking your own. Double bed was very comfortable and made each day. Continental Breakfast Was told the times of breakfast by the girl ... Read review

Holiday Inn Near Oxford Steet London
Review of Holiday Inn Garden Court London - Oxford Circus, London by sarahj0801

Advantages: Close to Oxford Street for all your shopping needs!
Disadvantages: Expensive, really small reception and bar area

I have stayed in many Holiday Inns around the UK, and this has to be one of the smallest. However, what it lacked in grandeur it gained in location. Situated in Marylebone just 5 minutes walk away from Oxford Street for all your shopping needs!. Also just 5 minutes walk from the nearest underground being Bond Street, Oxford Circus station is a 10 minute walk, this is obviously handy as there is no parking at the hotel. My main reason and attraction ...
...a scheme offerered by the Holiday Inn Group which allows you to gain points for staying at Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza and Intercontinental Hotel Group. Not just in the Uk either but around the world. Once you have accumulated enough points you can swap them for free nights accomodation. I am honest enough to say that I still haven't reached that point, but luckily the points just carry on accumulating and do not recommence for ... Read review

PERFECT SETTING FOR THE COLNEY FOX
Review of Innkeeper's Lodge, St Albans by RICHADA

Advantages: Location. Pub Ambiance. Parking. Breakfast.
Disadvantages: Dirty En-Suite. Old Bed. Tatty Room.

WHY DID WE BOOK THE INNKEEPER'S LODGE St ALBANS? A.K.A THE COLNEY FOX VINTAGE INN A slightly complicated set of factors this time - indeed this is the first hotel in which we have stayed south of Watford Gap in very many years. Living in Brighton and attending the Company Car in Action event at Millbrook, just south of Bedford, we usually set out from home at 5.30am in order to be there for gates open at 9.00am. I owed myself a couple of days off ...
...envelope, following our last, disastrous, Innkeeper's Lodge experience in Litchfield before Christmas, we had a complimentary "stay one night free" voucher. Looking at the list of available Inkeeper's Lodges in the area, the choice was not a difficult one, a Toby Inn at Bedford, or the much more historic and attractive looking Vintage Inn at London Colney, just to the south of St Abans. 'Oh dear' I hear you cry; 'wasn't that Lodge at Lichfield ... Read review
