...already mentioned - bar tenders are great! so is all the other catering and house keeping staff. As for receptionists... its ok but could be better. The problem is that they never smiled when we were there and were always in a rush and stressed out! The rooms are great! Clean and well furnished. There is a 24h room service as well for your convenience. Television, Internet, Hairdryer, Trouser Press etc. all this you should have in your room. I ... Read review

Cheap and cheerful stay in the capital.
Review of Bayswater Inn, London by aramintalovegrove

Advantages: quiet, cheap, clean
Disadvantages: no frills, bread and jam for breakfast!!

...of minutes walk from the Bayswater tube station, Queensway being about four minutes. These stations serve District, Circle and Queensway also serves the Central lines. The hotel is situated on a quite square with a mixture of private residence and hotels around. There was on street parking and altough there were spaces to be had I can imagine at peak times it would be hard to get a space. Kensington palace and gardens is a three minute walk away ...
...hotel. I found the Bayswater area really pleasant there was an abundance of amenities near by from local off-Licences to Tesco metros, Pizza hut, Mc Donalds and copius restraunts and pubs... If you couldnt find somewhere that suits your palate to eat within a 2 minute walk I would be very suprised! ***Checking in*** This was simple and quick, the entrance is by a buzzer operated door and reception is right in front of you. The reception is small ... Read review

Fantastic Stay
Review of Hyde Park Towers Hotel, London by coolchick2001_2003

Advantages: Location, Staff, Cleanliness
Disadvantages: Size of the rooms, Size of the bathrooms

Reception was great check-in was fast and the receptionist was very helpful. The reception is open 24 hours so they accept late check in. We stayed over new year for 2 nights. The hotel does also offer conferencing facilites, a bar and restaurnt. Although we did not eat or drink in either every time we went past there were people in them. I originally booked the room on what i though was a room only basis only to find when i arrived we also had a ...
...make use of this). The room was an ok size if you don't have much luggage otherwise it could be very cramped. The room had tea and coffee making facilities, tv and was cleaned daily by the staff. The bathroom was extremely small although it had a good size bath and shower in. The toilet was right opposite the sink and when you stood up from the loo you didn't have to move to wash your hands. They provided you with fresh towels and a bath mat every ... Read review

Britannia Hampstead Hotel, London
Review of Britannia Hampstead Hotel, London by missgiggles22

Advantages: none!
Disadvantages: everything!

I stayed at this hotel when I went to London for a two night stay, it was a travel package which included coach travel down, we didn't know where we were staying until we got there and believe me if I had have known I wouldn't have gone. The outside looked okay and the lobby didn't look too bad either but then we went in our room, it was very dark and dull and very dated, it was fairly clean though. The toilet and shower were seperate the toilet ...
...were cracked and looked as if they had been stuck on by somone who didn't know what they were doing. There was no bath just a stand alone shower squashed into a cupboard that was hidden with a door. The food- The travel package included breakfast and tea, there wasn't much choice, if your fussy your stuffed basically, and it was all cold and both meal sittings served the same food, we went to macdonnalds on one night and to find one of them we had ... Good hotel for people who like mice
Review of Ramada Hyde Park, London by adampaine

Advantages: Location
Disadvantages: Mice

...to me the Hotel does not care about this problem. The Ramada is part of a large group called the Wyndham Hotel Group who franchise out their hotels but obviously do not check up on their standards. Overall I would never stay at any hotels in this group again. ... Read review
