Cheap and cheerful stay in the capital.
Review of Bayswater Inn, London by
aramintalovegrove
Advantages: quiet, cheap, clean
Disadvantages: no frills, bread and jam for breakfast!!
...of minutes walk from the Bayswater tube station, Queensway being about four minutes. These stations serve District, Circle and Queensway also serves the Central lines. The hotel is situated on a quite square with a mixture of private residence and hotels around. There was on street parking and altough there were spaces to be had I can imagine at peak times it would be hard to get a space.
Kensington palace and gardens is a three minute walk away ... ...hotel.
I found the Bayswater area really pleasant there was an abundance of amenities near by from local off-Licences to Tesco metros, Pizza hut, Mc Donalds and copius restraunts and pubs... If you couldnt find somewhere that suits your palate to eat within a 2 minute walk I would be very suprised!
***Checking in*** This was simple and quick, the entrance is by a buzzer operated door and reception is right in front of you. The reception is small ...

Fantastic Stay
Review of Hyde Park Towers Hotel, London by
coolchick2001_2003
Advantages: Location, Staff, Cleanliness
Disadvantages: Size of the rooms, Size of the bathrooms
Reception was great check-in was fast and the receptionist was very helpful. The reception is open 24 hours so they accept late check in. We stayed over new year for 2 nights. The hotel does also offer conferencing facilites, a bar and restaurnt. Although we did not eat or drink in either every time we went past there were people in them. I originally booked the room on what i though was a room only basis only to find when i arrived we also had a ... ...make use of this).
The room was an ok size if you don't have much luggage otherwise it could be very cramped. The room had tea and coffee making facilities, tv and was cleaned daily by the staff.
The bathroom was extremely small although it had a good size bath and shower in. The toilet was right opposite the sink and when you stood up from the loo you didn't have to move to wash your hands. They provided you with fresh towels and a bath mat every ...

Good hotel for people who like mice
Review of Ramada Hyde Park, London by
adampaine
Advantages: Location
Disadvantages: Mice
...to me the Hotel does not care about this problem. The Ramada is part of a large group called the Wyndham Hotel Group who franchise out their hotels but obviously do not check up on their standards.
Overall I would never stay at any hotels in this group again. ...

A Little Gem in London
Review of London Bridge Hotel, London by
thesimpsons
Advantages: Right in the hub of things with good transport links
Disadvantages: A little on the expensive side?
We first stayed at the London Bridge Hotel on the recommendation of Great Rail Journeys as an overnight stop before travelling on Eurostar from Waterloo. Today, with Eurostar having moved to St Pancras the London Bridge Hotel is no longer used by Great Rail Journeys but it is now our first choice for accommodation if we are in London to see a West End Show.
The hotel is right in the hub of things but when you step through the door you are in a different ... ...English'
The only downside is that the hotel is a little on the expensive side but this you have got to balance against its ambience, the bedrooms and public areas, and the pleasant staff. Therefore, for that special occasion, the London Bridge Hotel is the place to stay. ...

Worst Hotel In London
Review of Pembridge Palace Hotel, London by
ir8trav
Advantages: Had hot water
Disadvantages: Cost too much
Not a three star hotel! This is not even a one star hotel. The room was tiny. The television only worked on one snowy chanel. The bathroom smelled of mold and the shower curtain was slimy. There was no plug for the drain so it was impossible to take a bath. There were no glasses, very few towels, and no extra pillows. The pillows smelled and were dirty and the extra blanket had large holes. There were bugs! I received many bites and developed sores ... ...make a cup of tea. The staff were not helpful and they didn't seem to care. The carpet was threadbare and dirty (greasy). There was constant noise all night and the floors were very noisy when anyone walked on them. Outside the window there were many cigarette butts and other trash. DON"T STAY HERE IF YOU WANT A GOOD HOLIDAY!! ...
