A Quality Hotel at a Sensible Price
Review of Chamberlain Hotel, London by sbenbow

Advantages: Great for a quiet weekend break in London
Disadvantages: Can be too quiet if you are in London for the "night life"

...breakfast): http://www.benbow.org.uk/chamberlain.htm The Chamberlain is in the business district of London, so it is quiet at the weekends (and there are not many restaurants open). This was ideal for us, as we are light sleepers, and it meant a really good nights sleep. The tube is literally 60 seconds around the corner, so for daytrips and evening meals we were able to go out and about easily (even with my wife in high heels), and London was our ...
...The continental breakfast at The Chamberlain was really good too. A nice selection of items. The croissants and cinamon danish's were fresh, and there was a good selection of meat, cheeses, rolls, and toast. Although we checked out on Sunday morning, we were able to keep our bags at the hotel until Sunday evening. This was great, as it meant we didn't have to lug our suitcases all around London (and Harrods!). I would recommend the hotel to anyone, ... Read review

The Jurys
Review of Jurys Great Russell Street, London by slater2130

Advantages: Central and nice staff
Disadvantages: None

Lovely hotel in prime location in London. Perfect if you wish to be central to pretty much everything. Grt Russell street is light off the most hectic streets so acts as a bit of a retreat from the hussel and bussel. Wonderful service at the hotel and really try to look after their guests. On my first stay to the Jurys, i booked online, and through no fault of the hotel the booking had an error. So the General Manager kindly offered us a better ...
...for service. we also recieved a free up grade to an executive suite, which i have to say. Little details and touches make this a really nice place to stay. such as speaker in the bathroom from the TV and Radio system. NOthing nicer to have a soak in the bath with a little bit of music ... Location isn't everything
Review of Ambassadors Hotel, London by badongism

Advantages: Fantastic location, you're never far away from anything. Cheap.
Disadvantages: Rude staff, rooms in a state, out of date amenities, broken equipment.

I booked this room just as somewhere to put my head down for the night after a concert at the Royal Albert Hall. I wanted somewhere cheap(ish) in Kensington so I could walk it and not venture onto the tube in the forbidden hours. I found it via www.hoteldirect.com and it cost me £70 for a double room for one night, including a continental breakfast. So, here's a review. LOCATION If you're going to the Albert Hall and you're on a budget, this hotel ...
...Road and probably around 10-15 minutes walking distance from the Albert Hall. There's a Tesco, a Waitrose and a Sainsburys nearby as well as a KFC and a small shopping centre, and it's on the circle line in zone 1, so you are well catered for. Also handy if you have children, since there's always something nearby to keep them entertained. THE STAFF Now I guess this could simply be a language barrier but I found the reception staff to be rather abrupt ... Read review

great
Review of Premier Travel Inn London - Heathrow (Bath Road), London by emb200

Advantages: everything
Disadvantages: very little

In my own personal opinion, this hotel is one of a kind. I set my standards very high when I am looking for a hotel to stay, and I dont just look at the rooms, I look at the overall standard of the hotel. This hotel ticks all of my boxes. The staff couldnt have been any better, they were both friendly and extremely pleasant. The only problem for me was the food here, but that didnt make my experience any worse, as there are plenty of other food ...
...big enough for all of my family, so we book two rooms at a reduced price, which helped. The capital city is full of tourist destinations and this hotel is near by almost all of them and if not, within a short journey. You can easily catch a cab from outside. ... Read review
