...when my grandparents were visiting London for their 80th birthdays. This was a lovely stay as my grandparents hadn't been to London in years and my grandfather was very keen to ride on the London eye whilst my grandmother was keen for me to find a hotel in which as she phrased it, 'that he will have to dig deep into his pockets for'. A bargin at The Chesterfield

Advantages: High quality and excellent location
Disadvantages: Rooms on the small side

I booked us this trip through expedia.co.uk as I have found them very good before, particulary their bargin hotel prices, and did again this time. I found expedia especially good on this occasion because apart from the trip being everything that we were promised our trip was to take place over a period of proposed strike action by BA staff (the airline we had chosen to use). ...

Can't fault it at all!

Advantages: Everything.
Disadvantages: Large building.

Wonderful is the word for this hotel. Everything about it is wonderful. The location is great. South Kensington is safe, clean and central. Kensington high street is a shoppers delight! The Natural History Museum is amazing for adults and children, is free and nearby. You would fill a whole day with a visit there easily. There are a choice of grocery stores and cafes in walking distance and transport links are excellent for bus, tube and cab. The ...
...24/7 and couldn't do enough for you. The service was 5 star. The accommodation is modern, clean, fresh, spacious, comfortable, quiet and family friendly. There are fantasic apartments here too with great kitchen facilities. I think it is also great value for money. It's not the cheapest 4 star place but it is a long way from the most expensive and in many ways it could be 5 star, particlarly with the service and location. Highly recommended. ...

Excellent service and fantastic location in the heart of London

Advantages: Excellent customer service, immaculate presentation.
Disadvantages: We got a good rate, but I think the hotel could be expensive if you don't get a deal.

Ominous brown stains aren't the best way to start your hotel stay

Advantages: Central location. New modern design. Reasonable price on promo rate.
Disadvantages: Dirty towels, slow check in, distance to car park.

...London, however due to a Hilton 50% off promotion I made an exception so booked a stay at Hilton Tower Bridge. I booked my stay through the Hilton website and secured an Executive room with access to the Executive lounge that also included breakfast. Arrival The hotel does not have the benefit of an on-site parking, however it recommends the Q Park, which was apparently close by. ...it was a very standard Hilton stay. The property was modern and clean in general and provided a comfortable stay. The dirty towel left an awful lot to be desired and would mean that I would not want to stay again. If their hygiene levels were of such a standard with towels I can only speculate on the potential for other areas to be lackadaisical.
