Review of Custom House Hotel, London by Janej47

Advantages: Good transport links
Disadvantages: Everything else

...myself recently stayed at the Custom House Hotel , Docklands , London as part of an overnight package which we had booked for the purpose of seeing the Phantom of the Opera on stage in the West End . Because we took a package deal the hotel was included , and we didnt have any alternative choices But having said that , had I made my own selection based purely on the rather attractive brochure photographs and brief description I may well have considered ...

Putting on The Ritz
Review of The Ritz, London by matthewsteeples

Advantages: Style, excellent service, great location
Disadvantages: Too many tourists

The only problem with The Ritz is that being such a landmark it does attract a bizarre mixture of people. The Rivoli Bar is perhaps a bit kitsch for some, decorated with much gold and glitz, but The Palm Court and adjoining lounge bar are sophistication in themselves and ideal places to take elderly relatives to tea or for drinks with clients/friends. The restaurant offers the best of British in terms of a traditional menu and the room is spectacular. ...
...Rooms are excellent and of the high standard one would expect of a hotel of this calibre. Prices are high, but for that you do get the best. The service is impeccable, the staff excellent and their attentive yet discrete manner is most impressive. Conveniently situated on Piccadilly, the location is perfect for those looking for somewhere close to theatreland, the Royal Parks, shopping on Bond Street and Jermyn Street, etc. etc. If you want to ... Cheap and cheerful stay in the capital.
Review of Bayswater Inn, London by aramintalovegrove

Advantages: quiet, cheap, clean
Disadvantages: no frills, bread and jam for breakfast!!

...of minutes walk from the Bayswater tube station, Queensway being about four minutes. These stations serve District, Circle and Queensway also serves the Central lines. The hotel is situated on a quite square with a mixture of private residence and hotels around. There was on street parking and altough there were spaces to be had I can imagine at peak times it would be hard to get a space. Kensington palace and gardens is a three minute walk away ...
...hotel. I found the Bayswater area really pleasant there was an abundance of amenities near by from local off-Licences to Tesco metros, Pizza hut, Mc Donalds and copius restraunts and pubs... If you couldnt find somewhere that suits your palate to eat within a 2 minute walk I would be very suprised! ***Checking in*** This was simple and quick, the entrance is by a buzzer operated door and reception is right in front of you. The reception is small ... Read review

Review of Pembridge Palace Hotel, London by meriel73

Advantages: good area
Disadvantages: rude, unhelpful staff

We were moved here from another hotel in the same area as they were overbooked. This is not 3 star hotel, rooms small with no tea/coffee facilities in room, not even a beaker in the bathroom or plug in sink. Tiles in bathroom cracked, perhaps newly decorated as the re was paint on the curtains. breakfast was minimal and although advertised as served til 10.30 on a Sunday the staff start to clear away toaster, cups cutlery etc at 10.15 and not accomodating ... Good hotel for people who like mice
Review of Ramada Hyde Park, London by adampaine

Advantages: Location

...to me the Hotel does not care about this problem. The Ramada is part of a large group called the Wyndham Hotel Group who franchise out their hotels but obviously do not check up on their standards. Overall I would never stay at any hotels in this group again. ... Read review
