The London Hilton on Park Lane - It's the Daddy!
Review of London Hilton on Park Lane, London by andymcf

Advantages: True five-star oasis of calm and comfort with a few tricks up its sleeve.
Disadvantages: It would be somewhat churlish to nit-pick. Read the review!

...be - THE Hilton. The London Hilton on Park Lane has, always been "The Hilton" and this 28-storey icon is a London landmark that I have wanted to stay in for nigh on 30 years. This weekend, the dream came true. Nor was the bubble burst. Booking I booked on-line through the Hilton website and was offered a rate of just under UKP 128, plus taxes. The room-only room rate of UKP 150 (about $300) was something of a snip and it would have been rude not ...
...The room London hotels are noted, probably, for two things; high prices and small rooms. Here, I thought that the price was good for what we got. The room, also, was by no means cramped. In fact, at 22 square metres, it was actually quite spacious. the King-sized bed was huge and proved to be extraordinarily comfortable. The comfy chair was very comfortable. The television was large and had a good selection of channels. There was a personalised welcome ... Read review

Five star experience
Review of Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill, London by mileslondoner

Advantages: Cental location, excellent serivce, wifi internet, tennis court
Disadvantages: Five star prices

...Churchill now managed by the Hyatt is one of the best London hotels. Hotel facilities: famous Cigar bar, recently opened (2005) Montagu Restaurant, one of the best italian restaurants in the city Locanda Locatelli, wi-fi internet, health club, hairdresser, tennis court on Portman Square, attentive security and so on. Rooms are big, clean and really 5 star standard. For a small supplement you can enjoy club lounge facilities with unlimited soft and ...
...this place is well organized. The best option if money is not an issue it to go for a Portman Square view room, on the 8 floor. The best rate you can get is to be found on the hyatt's website. (it depends of the time of the year but all in all it is gonna be above 120 pounds) ... Read review

London's first and best boutique hotel
Review of Blakes Hotel, London by matthewsteeples

Advantages: Style, service, attention to detail, discretion
Disadvantages: Some rooms are small

Blakes Hotel is a perfect London base for those seeking style and substance. Some of the rooms might be small, but the unique and amazing taste of perfectionist Anouska Hempel has created a boutique hotel that just cannot be beaten. For those on an extravagant budget, the well run restaurant serves an excellent evening meal that is perfect for those seeking to impress. With a pan-Asian menu that changes daily, be sure to try the lamb or curry if ...
...Chinese Room are the perfect places to entertain over drinks and having held a party there, I cannot fault the impeccable service from George and Octavio. If looking for a hotel in West London and especially if you seek discretion and style, Blakes should be your number one choice. ... Read review

Halkin Hotel
Review of The Halkin Hotel, London by newty1977

Advantages: Luxurious, fabulously located hotel
Disadvantages: Expensive

One of the ultimate high class more leisure orientated hotels within London, which boasts luxuriousness and contemporary modernity. Located between Hyde Park Corner and Victoria, it boasts the splendour of a Belgarvia address, located not too far from the Scottish Embassy. The hotel is all about luxury and elegance, and it's small boutique style with discreet location add to the falvour of the property, which is ideal for a weekend retreat within ...
...many better nights sleep, despite the hustle and bustle of typical London life. The rich aromatherapy throughout the hotel also adds to the salubriousness of the property and generates an all round feeling of relaxation. The hotel's restaurant "Nahm" is Michelin-starred and serves award winning Thai-cuisine. Although, if I am honest, this was not to my personal taste and is one area where sister hotel, The Metropolitan and it's world famous restuarant ... Read review

PERFECT SETTING FOR THE COLNEY FOX
Review of Innkeeper's Lodge, St Albans by RICHADA

Advantages: Location. Pub Ambiance. Parking. Breakfast.
Disadvantages: Dirty En-Suite. Old Bed. Tatty Room.

WHY DID WE BOOK THE INNKEEPER'S LODGE St ALBANS? A.K.A THE COLNEY FOX VINTAGE INN A slightly complicated set of factors this time - indeed this is the first hotel in which we have stayed south of Watford Gap in very many years. Living in Brighton and attending the Company Car in Action event at Millbrook, just south of Bedford, we usually set out from home at 5.30am in order to be there for gates open at 9.00am. I owed myself a couple of days off ...
...envelope, following our last, disastrous, Innkeeper's Lodge experience in Litchfield before Christmas, we had a complimentary "stay one night free" voucher. Looking at the list of available Inkeeper's Lodges in the area, the choice was not a difficult one, a Toby Inn at Bedford, or the much more historic and attractive looking Vintage Inn at London Colney, just to the south of St Abans. 'Oh dear' I hear you cry; 'wasn't that Lodge at Lichfield ... Read review
