Ideal for the 02
Review of Express By Holiday Inn London Royal Docks - Docklands, London by
juliebarrett62
Advantages: close to 02, good value, comfortable
Disadvantages: run-down area, rushed staff
We stayed here in April while attending an event at the 02. The location is ideal for the O2 - just one stop away on the Jubilee line. It's great when you leave the O2 because most people are heading in the other direction!
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were polite, but seemed very rushed. When we asked for more pillows they never arrived. The breakfast was adequate and as expected. Plenty of cereals, fruit, toast and pastires ... ...the hotel, the area is quite run-down. I wouldn't have been comfortable walking from the tube station to the hotel in the dark on my own. Luckily it is only a short walk away.
All in all it wasn't bad for the price, and was ideal as a base for attending events at the O2. ...

Review of Kensington Court Hotel, London by
2angels1510
Advantages: Close to Tube Station/Bars/restaurants
Disadvantages: Lift too small
...2 friends stayed at The Kensington Court Hotel in Feb 2006, whilst on a weekend break to London.
The hotel is in an ideal situation for travellers in the fashionable Earls Court. It is a 2 minute walk to the nearest tube station and has lots of pubs and restaurants nearby.
The hotel itself was very clean and well presented. The rooms were very spacious with everything you need eg hairdryers, kettles, towels, tv etc.The en-suite bathroom had a shower ... ...3 nights, booking through Superbreak.According to the Kensington Court Hotel website they charge £65 for a double, £72 for a single and £65 for a twin. They also have triple and quad rooms, which cost about £115-£125 per night.
I would definatly stay here again if i was visiting London. ...

Good value for money
Review of Americana Hotel, London by
CaroleH
Advantages: Close to Baker Street tube & buses
Disadvantages: Only single or double rooms - no triple or family rooms
...in London staying at the Americana Hotel in a twin room. Not the largest room but as we did not spend much time there other than for sleeping this was not a problem. The room had plenty of storage space and was lovely and warm and secondary glazing meant that the room was fairly quiet even though it was on the main road. The hotel has recently been refurbished and was quite well fitted although the carpets and bedspreads were rather grubby. However ... ...towels were changed daily.
Breakfast is served between 7.30 & 9.30 each day though earlier breakfast is available by arrangement. There was a good choice of fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast or bread rolls with meat, cheese or hard boiled eggs and juice or hot drinks. Check out hotel websites before booking - we paid £188 for 3 nights, but some sites were offering the hotel price of £345 (£115 per night ). Don't think it's worth this but if you can get ...

A Quality Hotel at a Sensible Price
Review of Chamberlain Hotel, London by
sbenbow
Advantages: Great for a quiet weekend break in London
Disadvantages: Can be too quiet if you are in London for the "night life"
...breakfast): http://www.benbow.org.uk/chamberlain.htm
The Chamberlain is in the business district of London, so it is quiet at the weekends (and there are not many restaurants open). This was ideal for us, as we are light sleepers, and it meant a really good nights sleep. The tube is literally 60 seconds around the corner, so for daytrips and evening meals we were able to go out and about easily (even with my wife in high heels), and London was our ... ...The continental breakfast at The Chamberlain was really good too. A nice selection of items. The croissants and cinamon danish's were fresh, and there was a good selection of meat, cheeses, rolls, and toast.
Although we checked out on Sunday morning, we were able to keep our bags at the hotel until Sunday evening. This was great, as it meant we didn't have to lug our suitcases all around London (and Harrods!).
I would recommend the hotel to anyone, ...
