Holiday Inn Near Oxford Steet London

Advantages: Close to Oxford Street for all your shopping needs!
Disadvantages: Expensive, really small reception and bar area

I have stayed in many Holiday Inns around the UK, and this has to be one of the smallest. However, what it lacked in grandeur it gained in location. Situated in Marylebone just 5 minutes walk away from Oxford Street for all your shopping needs!. Also just 5 minutes walk from the nearest underground being Bond Street, Oxford Circus station is a 10 minute walk, this is obviously handy as there is no parking at the hotel. My main reason and attraction ...
...a scheme offerered by the Holiday Inn Group which allows you to gain points for staying at Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza and Intercontinental Hotel Group. Not just in the Uk either but around the world. Once you have accumulated enough points you can swap them for free nights accomodation. I am honest enough to say that I still haven't reached that point, but luckily the points just carry on accumulating and do not recommence for ...

Must be the worst hotel in the chain

Advantages: close to westminster
Disadvantages: a dump

...stayed regularly at Holiday Inn Express hotels over the last few months and have always found them to be clean, tidy, well maintained with pleasant staff - all at a bargain price of approx £50.00 per room per night including breakfast - good value for money. The Holiday Inn Express Victoria must be the exception to this rule. It was gloomy - in a bedroom on the ground floor, it was dark - pokey little windows overlooking the neighbours, the room ...
...stuck in the middle of the floor area. Both the hotel areas and the room were grubby and tired - too much use and in dire need of redecoration. The taps in the bathroom didn't work and there was no maintenance available on duty. To top it all the shower only produced a trickle of cold water. To say I was underwhelmed and disappointed is an understatement. It was not cheap either, £135 was the rate when I booked it and it had gone up for casual callers ...

Review of Express By Holiday Inn London - Victoria, London

Ideal for the 02

Advantages: close to 02, good value, comfortable
Disadvantages: run-down area, rushed staff

We stayed here in April while attending an event at the 02. The location is ideal for the O2 - just one stop away on the Jubilee line. It's great when you leave the O2 because most people are heading in the other direction! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were polite, but seemed very rushed. When we asked for more pillows they never arrived. The breakfast was adequate and as expected. Plenty of cereals, fruit, toast and pastires ...
...the hotel, the area is quite run-down. I wouldn't have been comfortable walking from the tube station to the hotel in the dark on my own. Luckily it is only a short walk away. All in all it wasn't bad for the price, and was ideal as a base for attending events at the O2. ...

What a dump!

Advantages: Good location
Disadvantages: Everything else

I don't even know where to begin. I booked a twin and a triple room for two nights in this 'hotel' for a special occasion we were attending in London. for a bargain price of £390. The location for our event was perfect but otherwise I was utterly disappointed with this hotel. Upon arrival to our rooms one bed had chewing gum stuck to it, the other had burn marks on it, the shower was hanging off the wall and even if it was attched only people less ...
...were two towels for three people, there was other peoples belongings down the side of the desk and overall we were not happy. A similar situation occured with our twin room, lack of towels, no kettle, dirty bed sheets etc. We rang reception who assured us they would send up towels asap and that we could speak to the manager later that eveing regarding our concerns. We then proceeded to the self service restaurant. There was 8+ waiting staff standing ...

Highly recommended hotel

Advantages: Close to Tube Station/Bars/restaurants
Disadvantages: Lift too small

...2 friends stayed at The Kensington Court Hotel in Feb 2006, whilst on a weekend break to London. The hotel is in an ideal situation for travellers in the fashionable Earls Court. It is a 2 minute walk to the nearest tube station and has lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself was very clean and well presented. The rooms were very spacious with everything you need eg hairdryers, kettles, towels, tv etc.The en-suite bathroom had a shower ...
...3 nights, booking through Superbreak.According to the Kensington Court Hotel website they charge £65 for a double, £72 for a single and £65 for a twin. They also have triple and quad rooms, which cost about £115-£125 per night. I would definatly stay here again if i was visiting London. ...
