Better Out, Than Inn
Review of Days Inn London Westminster, London by sghawken

Advantages: Very trying staff
Disadvantages: Awkward location and difficult to navigate building.

...but I never. The Days Inn, Westminster consists of what originally used to be three hotels. Days Inn Hotels usually consist of large purpose built accommodation, however here was not the case and the chain appear to have settled for what they could get rather than what was needed. As a result The Days Inn, Westminster seems rather cheap, badly functioning and incredibly dingy. The Days Inn, Westminster is located approximately 10 minutes away from ...
...minute walk you'll find The Days Inn on the opposite side of the road. Of the 20 people attending the same course as myself 19 used the hotels directions and got lost, the 20th member was actually aware of the location of the hotel and stated that had they used the hotels directions they too would be lost. As I arrived at the hotel lobby, I was immediately thrown into a sketch from the BBC series Fawlty Towers; I could not for the life of me get ... Read review

The Beaufort is an absolute MUST!
Review of The Beaufort, London by reviewaway

Advantages: Location, location, location, free bar (incl champagne) and gorgeous surroundings
Disadvantages: Bathroom quite small

...a hidden gem in amongst the chaos of London! We stayed last December for 2 nights whilst Christmas Shopping. It was so serene it was fab. We upgraded our room to a suite and it was def worth it. The room was large and so clean! I could've moved in. We had everything we needed and it was like a home from home. The free bar is fab. I couldn't believe it was all free! There is either a bar in the reception area you can help yourselves to or this is ...
...help yourself too to. In the lounge there are comfy sofas, sky tv and also complimentary internet access. The hotel is small and you feel like it really is your own house. The staff are friendly and helpful, polite at all times. The bathroom was lovely, the only thing I would've liked would've been a larger bathroom but thats me being picky! Location is ace, Literally around the corner from Harvey Nicks and Harrods. I would go back tomorrow if ... Read review

Something different in the City!
Review of Rookery Hotel, London by popoki

Advantages: Unique, Romantic, Cosy, Charming, Friendly...
Disadvantages: Cost

The Rookery Hotel Peter's Lane, Cowcross Street Clerkenwell London, EC1M 6DS Tel: 020 7336 0931 I stayed here with my partner in November last year, we'd booked tickets to go and see a concert at the Barbican and I was looking for a hotel nearby. First I tried Malmaison but that was too pricey at £195 for the most basic room. I debated the Thistle Barbican for a while but when a colleague booked a month before my visit and they couldn't find ...
...romantic. Someone suggested the Rookery - all I knew at that point is that it was where Pete Doherty was arrested (very rock and roll), so I decided to do a little research... The Rookery is found deep in the heart of Clerkenwell, just outside the City of London, it's a hotel steeped in history - it only has 33 rooms and is made up from three different Georgian buildings. The rooms are all different and are named after previous occupants of the ... Read review

Academy Town House Hotel, Gower St, London
Review of The Academy Town House, London by ikkin1981

Advantages: Beautifully refurbished Victorian hotel
Disadvantages: Can't think of any!

...other attractions. Quality furnishings lavish the property throughout, as you wind your way around the narrow Victorian corridors to either your room, or one of the small atrium styled lounge areas, leading onto a courtyard with tables and chairs. Furnishings are traditional, tasteful and very good quality. Many bedrooms have had authentic fireplaces uncovered during restoration, which add a real centrepiece to many rooms, and beds look sumptuous ...
...however had I paid for the hotel myself, I would not have been disappointed. Service was excellent and there were many discreet touches that really set this place apart. I particularly liked that they would turn down your bed, place slippers at the side and turn the radio on whilst you were out of an evening - a real welcome to come back to. Whilst located on a busy road, noise was not a problem. Highly recommended to all. ... Read review

Enjoy your Stay at the Comfort Hotel
Review of Comfort Inn Harrow, London by rowei

Advantages: Friendly staff, modern facilities, good value
Disadvantages: Some areas of the hotel not as clean as others

...area, we came across the Comfort Inn hotel, which is located 5-10 minutes walk from Northwick Park underground station (on the Metropolitan Line). This was ideal as it was just a short walk away from the hospital, Northwick Park and St. Marks. ** THE HOTEL ** The Comfort Inn hotel in Harrow belongs to a larger chain of hotels, called 'Crimson Hotels'. Crimson Hotels also own the 'Quality hotel' group which is quite well-known in the UK. Overall, ...
...will be specifically of the Comfort Inn hotel in Harrow, as this is where we stayed. As I said at the outset, this hotel is ideally situated, not only for people having to visit the nearby hospital, but also for people on business, those visiting London or even people attending sports fixtures at the nearby Wembley stadium. The hotel itself is rated three star. It has 73 en-suite bedrooms all of which offer modern facilities such as TV with satellite, ... Read review
