Advantages: good location & cheap for a 4 star hotel even if it is a bit rundown
Disadvantages: very small rooms, masively overheated, watch out for tricky pricing deals

When I look back at my stay in the hotel that is the thing that stands out my wife and I were in an "executive twin" which was one of the relatively fiew with air conditioning this mostly offset the fact that even in July the hotel was heateded like a sauna. In the process of booking the "executive rather than the normal twin I missed the small proint that said that this did not include Breakfast so ended up paying an extra £20 per day for breakfast. Advantages: Excellent location, very reasonably priced, high quality of service, cleanliness & efficiency. Easy to book online.
Disadvantages: Temperature control in room (we were very hot), drinks prices in bar a little steep even for central London.

...you first get to the Ibis you are presented with an oppressing concrete box (although it was raining which didn't help its image...). You head across the rather tired looking foyer to a desk manned by (on our visit) staff who's English wasn't the best. The room itself wasn't at all bad, quite modern fixtures, in a good state of repair, the bathroom and majority of the living space was clean.
