Hilton Olympia ends up on Medallists' Podium
Review of Hilton London Olympia, London by
andymcf
Advantages: Comfortable, friendly and pretty stylish London hotel
Disadvantages: The movie channel didn't work properly. Minor criticism.
Hilton fan, though I may well appear to be, it was Priceline who, at a very reasonable £45 for the night, selected this hotel for me. Rarely, I was away-from-home-alone at a Meet-and-Greet in London and I'd booked the stay well in advance. The price was exceptional value, and being an Hhonors Gold VIP, I was pleased to have been allocated to the Hilton, even if its location was not entirely convenient for my proposed meeting on the other side of ... ...buses and tubes (ie underground trains), so what the hell? I was a very happy bunny. And then Al Q'aeda (it's alleged) decided to start bombing London - specialising, in a somewhat incompetent fashion, in tubes and buses. I thought long and hard. Do I avoid the terror and stay at home, or do I make a statement and go to meet what turned out to be a group of really nice people who'd congregated from miles and miles away? At the eleventh hour, I decided ...

The Best Hotel in the Docklands
Review of Hilton London Docklands, London by
leemacman
Advantages: Excellent ( Room Price - Staff - Room Decor - Night Life)
Disadvantages: Mini Bar Prices
...to book online with the Hilton hotel website. There was more than enough clear and easy to see pictures of the room and for a change the pictures reflected how the room looks.
the support for booking online is also excellent as if you have a problem you can just phone the hotel you want to stay at and they will help you book online.
**** Prices Per Night****
The great thing about booking online is you get a calendar with all the dates with the ... ...for a night away you can book a room that might cost £250+ per night for a little as £99 per night.
**** traveling to the Hotel ****
this is extremely easy as you have to main train lines one (DLR - South Quay) which is 30 second walk from the hotel and the second (jubilee - Canary walf) which is around a 5 minute walk.
**** Checking In & the Staff ****
Checking in was so easy and the members of staff are so nice and friendly anything you need ...

Don't expect the red carpet treatment
Review of Russell Hotel, London by
maclinks
Advantages: Glorious building, great location, great breakfast
Disadvantages: poor service , few staff, Not very organized
Stayed here late July 2008, In fact my room 2 nd octagonal room bay and balony to the left from the bottom of this picture. Was booked into a family room with my family good rate £85 including breakfast fro all of us. Breakfast excellent choice all well cooked and probably on of the redeming features of the hotel, communal area fantastically ornate, and the squre opposite delightful, well positioned hotel, with air conditioning which is as well as ... ...roomy and adequate. What lets this place down is the service, staff are few and far between, the reception staff won't help with queries they consider the concierge job, even though the conceige may be missing for 10 minutes e.g.Have you got a local telephone directory please... Would not help told me only the conceige would help. Mixed up my room, because an item was broken they moved us to a different room, went to the new room only to find they ...

County Hall
Review of Premier Travel Inn London - County Hall, London by
dpw22
Advantages: Good price, friendly staff, good location, good meals, quiet
Disadvantages: No wheelchair access at the front
...the London tourist attractions. The Premier Inn County Hall Hotel fit the bill and also delivered so much more.
I caught a taxi from the train station and the first thing that I noticed when getting there was that the part of Belvedere Road in which the hotel is situated has barriers at either end so only traffic that has a reason for being there is allowed in...this makes the front of the hotel quieter than most places in London. The building also ... ...had been reserved through the Premier Inn website and so it was just a matter of paying for the room with a credit card. Check in is not until after 2pm but you can drop off your luggage for free while you take in some of the sights.
The lifts are clean and very smooth - these can only be accessed with a room keycard so remember to have your with you at all times. The rooms are very nice especially considering the price. My room included a double ...

A Quality Hotel at a Sensible Price
Review of Chamberlain Hotel, London by
sbenbow
Advantages: Great for a quiet weekend break in London
Disadvantages: Can be too quiet if you are in London for the "night life"
...breakfast): http://www.benbow.org.uk/chamberlain.htm
The Chamberlain is in the business district of London, so it is quiet at the weekends (and there are not many restaurants open). This was ideal for us, as we are light sleepers, and it meant a really good nights sleep. The tube is literally 60 seconds around the corner, so for daytrips and evening meals we were able to go out and about easily (even with my wife in high heels), and London was our ... ...The continental breakfast at The Chamberlain was really good too. A nice selection of items. The croissants and cinamon danish's were fresh, and there was a good selection of meat, cheeses, rolls, and toast.
Although we checked out on Sunday morning, we were able to keep our bags at the hotel until Sunday evening. This was great, as it meant we didn't have to lug our suitcases all around London (and Harrods!).
I would recommend the hotel to anyone, ...
