Hilton Olympia ends up on Medallists' Podium Advantages: Comfortable, friendly and pretty stylish London hotel Disadvantages: The movie channel didn't work properly. Minor criticism. Hilton fan, though I may well appear to be, it was Priceline who, at a very reasonable £45 for the night, selected this hotel for me. Rarely, I was away-from-home-alone at a Meet-and-Greet in London and I'd booked the stay well in advance. The price was exceptional value, and being an Hhonors Gold VIP, I was pleased to have been allocated to the Hilton, even if its location was not entirely convenient for my proposed meeting on the other side of ... ...buses and tubes (ie underground trains), so what the hell? I was a very happy bunny. And then Al Q'aeda (it's alleged) decided to start bombing London - specialising, in a somewhat incompetent fashion, in tubes and buses. I thought long and hard. Do I avoid the terror and stay at home, or do I make a statement and go to meet what turned out to be a group of really nice people who'd congregated from miles and miles away? one of the greatest hilton hotels Advantages: service, food Disadvantages: staff members if you are out in croydon and need a rest, then you should defo stay @ croydon hilton, because its one of the best hotels around there. i stayed there 2 nights when i was out in tiger and milan bar etc and this hotel provided everything what i needed and a cab from croydon town centre to hotel only costs tenner so its all good. the staff members are not as friendly as in some parts of uk, but they are still really helpful and around you 24/7 whats ... ...gonna have a night out in croydon again and dont want to disturb my family when i arrive back lol. in my opinion if the hotel had more staff members working and better housekeeping members then they hotel will be better, because most of people who i tried to talk to were trying to avoid me a little, maybe because they didnt understand me or just didnt understand english in general, but your own choice what you think. but i will recommend it to other ... mizzjena 02.10.2009 · Read full review Ciao members have rated this review on average: somewhat helpful Review of Hilton Croydon, London
Better Out, Than Inn Advantages: Very trying staff Disadvantages: Awkward location and difficult to navigate building. ...but I never. The Days Inn, Westminster consists of what originally used to be three hotels. Days Inn Hotels usually consist of large purpose built accommodation, however here was not the case and the chain appear to have settled for what they could get rather than what was needed. As a result The Days Inn, Westminster seems rather cheap, badly functioning and incredibly dingy. A mixed bag - I wouldn't stay again. Advantages: restaurant, friendly staff, close to tube Disadvantages: noisy, mouse in room, unclear invoices This hotel was a mixed bag. I stayed with a colleague for business purposes. We stayed for one night, mid-week on April 7th 2008. I stayed in a room on the second floor and my colleague was on the first floor. On the plus side - If you want a hotel close to a tube station, this is perfect. Gloucester Rd was right opposite, 100yds. It was also close to South Kensington which was one stop away on the tube and very nice for shopping. The double glazing ... ...from the street. Unfortunately my window wouldn't open, it was broken. I didn't report this so just had to live with it. I booked two single rooms for myself and a colleague, we both got double rooms, which were spacious. The bed was comfortable, linen clean, water hot and the bathroom was clean. The television in the room was very good, lots of channels, new and in working order. location, location, location Advantages: Right where you want to be in London Disadvantages: It is not the Ritz!! ...stay in Central London. The Holiday Inn Mayfair is 50 metres from Piccadilly right opposite the front doors of the Ritz. Less than five minutes walk from Bond Street, and two minutes from Fortnum and Mason. Green Park underground is no more than 30 seconds from the hotel entrance. It is right in the heart of Mayfair with world famous restaurants literally only seconds away. If its location you are after this hotel has to be the one. Whilst it is ... ...itself is a mid range Holiday Inn (3*) with nothing too pretentious. We stayed in a superior room which was a decent size and included omplementary newspaper and soft drinks with robes, complementary toiletries and slippers in the bathroom. We paid £115 per night for the room including full English Breakfast - very reasonable by Central London standards.
