Excellent lunch menu at chiquitos! Advantages: excellent food, great lunch menu price, good service Disadvantages: ashame they don't have the lunch menu offer all the time I regularly visit chiquitos and have the lunch menu! Last time I went I had a 3 course meal for just 8.45 there are also other options to have a one course meal and two course meals but I find this price amazing ecspecially when the price of my verde nacho starter added up to about 6 pounds and the fajitas 8. The fajitas are really good they come out sizzling on a pan with 4 tortillas cheese, salsa, and vegetables. The service was excellent staff ... ...table straight away. Chiquitos food is excellent and I would happily pay full price for a meal there but the lunch menu 12-5pm monday-friday is a good way to save money and have a lovely meal. Cheesestringfellows Advantages: Dont knock it til you try it ! Disadvantages: Once you try it you will most definitely knock it!!!! ...myself. Upon arrival at Stringfellows I was looked up and down by the bouncers - sorry, "doormen". I dont think they liked the look of me much. I could tell by the way my coat and shoes caused their lips to curl away from their teeth. At the vital moment (thats the moment before i got thrown about twenty feet closer to Shaftesbury Avenue) out came my girl, Bubbly Jo, and saved my tush from certain beats. The staff could not contain their dislike ... ...all very nice decor inside Stringfellows - i mean its a kind of luxurious feeling, red velvety place, with thick carpets and opulent drapes and curtains hanging everywhere. Pretty barmaids and barmen serve you, Good looking waiting staff bring the food. There are upstairs and a downstairs sections, as i mentioned earlier . The upstairs is the restaurant mainly, bar and dancing girls. Then theres the downstairs, which is more of a nightclub. Amazing food. Advantages: Good food, good service, fun decor Disadvantages: Quite noisy and busy. Booking I booked online, only to find out after that they don't actually operate a booking system only a 'priority seating system' which they say aims to seat your group within 5 - 10 minutes of your chosen time slot. This concerned me slightly as I had booked for a late afternoon on a Sunday and didn't really want to have to hang around hence me wanting to book. This wasn't a problem, we were actually early and seated straight away. The ... ...big and when I visited very busy. My first though about the restaurant was that it was quite tacky, but in a very strange fun way not a cringe worthy way!. Its a very fun restaurant, this however made me think that the staff were going to be extremely irritating. I was wrong, our waitress was lovely and very helpful. Who wants to go back to sKool?! Advantages: Great music Disadvantages: It's a bit of a rip off ...if people liked you. School was a tough time for a lot of people, but apparently there are thousands every week who want to go back and relive it at SchoolDisco.com at Po Na Na nightclub in Hammersmith (Aka, Hammersmith Palais). --------How much?--------- I personally loved school. It was a great time for me. However I did not enjoy School Disco nearly as much as I had hoped. For months we had been planning to go there but it was always called off ... ...and it is mandatory at School Disco to wear school uniform, PE kit or dress as another school character (dinner lady, teacher etc). If you aren't dressed up you don't get in. So we girls spent several hours dressing up in our shortest skirts, funky black tights/over the knee socks, white shirts and school ties and put our hair in all manner or different plaits and bunches. Take The Crown from Burger King - Gourmet Burger Kitchen Advantages: Reasonably priced, tasty Disadvantages: Busy ...heard quite a lot about Gourmet Burger Kitchen and it had been recommended by quite a few people. Therefore when in London today at lunch we decided that we would give it a try. We went to the one in Covent Garden as that was where we were. It was very busy when we got there. Not surprising really as it is a bank holiday and it was lunchtime. We had to queue up but one of the waiters did come over and ask us how many of us there were and told us ... ...would only be 15 minutes and so we decided to wait. The good news is we did only have to wait around ten minutes. We were seated on a nice clean table and given menus. The menus are on one sheet and so are fairly easy to look at. As you can guess by the name of the restaurant pretty much all the items on the menu are burgers. There is definitely a variety of choice though.
