♦ A day in the life of a chocoholic ♦
Review of Max Brenner Chocolate Bar at Harrod's, London by Delicate_Orchid

Advantages: lots of chocolate goodies
Disadvantages: messy, not comfortable, nothing spectacular

...where I might find the Max Brenner Chocolate Café. I was told it was on the second floor and given a map. It turned out that I really needed it. Once on the second floor, I initially followed the signs to the Harrods Café, but on eyeing the menu, I immediately knew that I had found the wrong place. Turning to my map, I realised that this place was better known as "The Harrods Chocolate Bar" and located on the other end of the floor, between the cookshop ...

Transport yourself to Parigi!
Review of Paul Boulangerie & Patisserrie by hoxtonemu

Advantages: Yummy sandwiches, macaroons and takeaway bread
Disadvantages: Gets overcrowded at peak times

...packet of several smaller ones. Paul get the balance completely right between the chewy macaroon and the smooth creamy filling. The sandwiches are also great, the breads always fresh and they have a great choice of fillings ranging from traditional favourites of ham and cheese or tuna to different meats, cheeses and pickles. Coffees are excellent and the hot chocolate is to die for. ... Read review

Best Chinese in London
Review of Royal China, London by Knirg

Advantages: Great food, Decent prices, Nice Atmosphere, Good service
Disadvantages: Queues

The Bayswater branch of Royal China in Queensway, is without any doubt the best Chinese Restaurant I have been to in London. I experimented several times by trying out other ones but no other Chinese restaurant in London has been able to serve better food. They offer dim sum every day for lunch and I can recommend the Vietnamnese Spring Rolls (excellent, because not so greasy as in most other places). However, it is advisable to either book a table ... nice food, strange place!
Review of Angus Steakhouse, Aberdeen, London by beanie8844

Advantages: good food
Disadvantages: understaffed, cramped tables, expensive

The Aberdeen Angus Steakhouse is a chain of American style restaurants, the first branded restaurants in London infact in 1976. I recently visited the one in Leicester Square for something to eat before going to see Chicago at the theatre. We came across the restaurant by accident, took a look at the menu and although it seemed rather expensive decided to go in for a meal. From the moment I stepped inside I got the feeling it was rather strange, ...
...London restaurant it seemed understaffed and the tables were very cramped in order to pack as many people in as possible. Seeing as we were in a bit of a hurry to get to the show we decided to skip the starters and go straight to the main course. Both of us went for the New York Strip Steak at £18.50 each; quite expensive considering that was just for the steak. If you wanted a side order of chips or salad it cost an extra £3.00 which I thought was ... Read review

The Ben Crouch Tavern
Review of Ben Crouch's Tavern (London) by bagoproverbial

Advantages: Convenient, interesting decor
Disadvantages: A tad cheesy

...GET THERE: Finding the Ben Crouch Tavern is easy. Travel either to Oxford Circus or Tottenham Court Road tube station and head down Oxford Street (if you're coming from TCR head west, if from Oxford Street head east). You want to be walking down he north side of Oxford Street (the side wiut the big Virgin Megastore and HMV). Keep looking at the names of the roads turning off and you'll soon enough come to Wells Street. The Ben Crouch Tavern is just ...
...3. As I said, it is very convenient. If you're going to a gig at the Mean Fiddler or the Astoria later on then the Ben Crouch is a good starting point. 4. It serves decent enough food. 5. Rock night on Fridays! Thanks for reading... ... Read review
