Tom Yum Yum Soup
Review of Muang Thai Cafe & Restaurant, London by sunmeilan

Advantages: Tasty food, friendly service
Disadvantages: Not spicy enough

Introduction One good thing about living in London is the choice of restaurants (if you can afford them). It's ages since I've had Thai food, so when my lovely boyfriend asked me where I wanted to go on Saturday night, I suggested a nearby Thai restaurant. Neither of us had been there before, but I'd noticed full tables as I'd walked past, so I figured it couldn't be all that bad. Location The restaurant is situated at the corner of Belgrave Road ...
...from Victoria Station. The address is: 22 Charlwood Street London SW1V 2DY Tel: 0207 592 9584 Fax: 020 7592 9160 The décor My first impression when I walked through the door was how light and airy the restaurant was. The front of the front and sides of the restaurant (it is on a corner) are glass and because the evening was so light and sunny, it looked fabulous. The furniture was fairly simple; square tables with bamboo chairs. There were ... Read review

Turkish Temptations fire up Finchley
Review of The Meze Bar Restaurant, London by tev_1

Advantages: Delicious menu at a reasonable price
Disadvantages: Gets very busy - booking essential at weekends

Nestling in the wastelands of Zone 3 of the Northern Line, East Finchley is perhaps not the first place you would look for a night out. A village with a modest high street and definite suburban feel, East Finchley is a nice place to live, but the destination for a night of gourmet cuisine? The Meze Bar Restaurant is situated on Finchley High Road; from East Finchley station you walk up the main road for approximately ten minutes and its on the right ...
...and red awnings. The first thing that you'll probably notice however is the amount of people in the restaurant - whatever the time of day the restaurant is often packed, and during the warmer months tables outside are heaving as well. At the weekend a reservation is essential; for a Saturday night table for two its advisable to book a week in advance, and if you want to take a larger group then even more notice may be necessary. As soon as you walk ... Read review

Disadvantages: Expensive, smokers and non smokers are mixed in together

...the pleasure of dining at Hakkasan, and might return if someone else was paying, but I would much sooner go back to Yautcha which in my view is Alan Yaus real masterpiece. But my husband really enjoyed the meal and the evening, so that was the main objective achieved. Thank you all for reading. Shona X ... Read review

My home...the Buzz bar!
Review of Buzz Bar (London) by Marisa_Emma

Advantages: Cheap drinks and entrance, good music, finishes early
Disadvantages: sleazy men

...place in Leicester square, the Buzz Bar. Its quite hard to find and isnt a well known place, this is where the Londoners hang out. If you come out of Leicester Sq station, walk past the Hippodrome and Equinox and when you see the big MacDonalds on the corner, turn left down a small side street. You will see 'Buzz Bar' lit up (it's next to a hotel and the Gass Club). It cost only £2 to get in and £1 per item for the cloakroom. Inside there are 2 bars, ...
...this is when other clubs start to get really busy and right next door is the Gass Club. I reccommend going to the Buzz Bar on Fridays and Saturdays, as this is when it is at their busiest and best. It is a fun night and I'm sure you'll return! ... Read review

Best Chinese in London
Review of Royal China, London by Knirg

Advantages: Great food, Decent prices, Nice Atmosphere, Good service
Disadvantages: Queues

The Bayswater branch of Royal China in Queensway, is without any doubt the best Chinese Restaurant I have been to in London. I experimented several times by trying out other ones but no other Chinese restaurant in London has been able to serve better food. They offer dim sum every day for lunch and I can recommend the Vietnamnese Spring Rolls (excellent, because not so greasy as in most other places). However, it is advisable to either book a table ...
