Review of an indain restaurant
Advantages: chicken tikka Disadvantages: delivery takes too long
...this restaurant is one of the most cleanest place i've every been to, the washrooms are as clean as the dining. They served the food pretty quick and plus they gave me free papadoms for waiting patiently! Definitely the best Indian restaurant I've discovered in docklands. Try the chicken noorjahani! The waiter was really friendly, polite and well mannered. The food is very reasonably priced. 2 courses, side dishes and lots of beer for under £40. Plus ...

Fantastically large portions and friendly staff
Advantages: cheap, large portions, homely atmosphere, friendly staff Disadvantages: sausages aren't very nice
Chez Nous is a little cafe in Belsize Park (1 minute from the station), and is a firm favourite of locals. It is a breath of fresh air to have a family run restaurant serving unassuming food, at low prices. The other restaurants in Belsize Park are all chain restaurants and all do special offers, therefore I feel the need to champion our little local cafe. It would be a travesty if it went under during this downturn! The Food The food they ... ...you tremendously large portions, and for quite a small price. Most meals come with the choice of a salad or fries, and the salad is always fresh and wholesome. They have a full English breakfast available all day. It is only £5.75 and you get 2 rashers of bacon, a sausage, hash brown, tomato, mushrooms, 2 eggs, 2 toasts and a choice of chips or beans. We feel this is very reasonable, although we rarely finish the plate. They have other lunch foods ...

I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so!
Advantages: Interesting, authentic and very different Disadvantages: A bit lacking in atmosphere and some strange tasting dishes
Soseki Restaurant 20 Bury Street, London EC3A 5AX 0207621 9211 soseki.co.uk On the Saturday of the Ciao meet in London I booked to go to this restaurant in the evening. I had managed to get a great deal through the site www.groupon.com and we were very excited about visiting this posh Japanese restaurant at the foot of the famous London landmark known as ‘The Gerkin’. My daughter, Emma and left the Ciao meet and took the bus in the direction of ‘The ... ...suggest if you fancy an interesting, pretty authentic Japanese meal then go with an open mind and Soseki and its chef will take you on a sophisticated, varied, interesting and definitely surprising taste sensation This review may be posted on other sites under my same user name © catsholiday ...

Indian Cuisine with a bit of Ooh La La
Advantages: Different Flavours, great decor Disadvantages: Expensive
La Porte Des Indes is an Indian with a difference. Not only is it more expensive than your local curry house, but it prides itself in French inspired Indian cuisine from Pondicherry and the surrounds in the South East of India. The French stayed in this part of India until the fifties - about seven years after independence. This means there are dishes with a difference on this menu, the emphasis is on fine dining rather than a casual Friday night ... ...Christmas money from his father and had decided that he wanted to return to this restaurant which he had last visited a few years before. We had a booking for 7pm on a Sunday night, as the restaurant is open seven days a week. We were actually a bit early when we arrived, the restaurant being only a couple of minutes walk from Marble Arch tube station. Knowing there was a bar inside we went in anyway, but they took our coats and were able to seat ...

Mahoe Cafe Bar - a Chance Find
Advantages: Nice atmosphere, unobtrusive music Disadvantages: Way too hot for comfort
Mahoe first opened for business in summer 2008. The name “Mahoe” was chosen because it sounded a good name for a cafe-bar as well as its reference to the “blue-mahoe” a tree native to Jamaica. The table in the alcove area where we sat for a good part of the evening is made of mahoe wood as was the platter on which we were served part of our meal. On a hen night in the City we found ourselves at a loose end for a couple of hours as the venue that ... ...till 9.30pm. We came across Mahoe Cafe quite by accident. Wearing high heels and wanting to sit down with some drinks and light snacks to get us in the party mood we thought we’d check this place out. THE SETTING / OUR EXPERIENCE The exterior had a handful of tables and chairs for smokers, we thought it was just a local cafe type place from the look of the outside – it wasn’t particularly welcoming but having wandered around for a while trying ...
