Thank you for a really detailed explanation on one think that I am really concerned. Namely, I have a plan to come to London (only for the second time) in September to stay there for a few days.
And I have these two problems.
First: On the arrival day I want together with my friend visit a football match at Wembley starting at 3 pm. But my flight arrive only at 1:20 pm (which I realized only after I booked the ticket). So I know that Stansted Express is the most expensive way to get to the center of London from where I can use tube, but I believe it is at the same the fastest and my only option to get there on time (maybe???). Maybe taxi which by estimation is around 60Ł could be fastest or not. Anyway, since there is no possibility to enter Wembley with the baggage nor they have a special storage to leave it there, I need to stop at Liverpool Street where I found a place to store the baggage. I suppose if we leave the airport in 10 min, come to Liverpool in 50 min, leave baggage in 10 min, come to Wembley in 20 min, a walk needed to come to stadium of 15 min = 1 hour 45 min without any delay.
Second: This is even worse. We will be situated in Marriott Bexleyheat which is district 5. I stayed with my family once in Marriott Regents Park five years ago which is district 1-2 and I didn't pay any enought on districts attention when booked this time. So, when I realized that this hotel if far away from the tube station it was anyhow to late. But since I have plenty of time I can still prepare myself before in details. Anyway my flight back is on Thursday morning at 7 o'clock from Stansted. Regularly it would take approx. 1h20m to come from Bexleyheat to Liverpool Street and than another hour (depending on the transport) to arrive to Stansted which means more than two hours and if we must be ther two hours in advance it means we need to leave hotel nearly after midnight to be completely sure. Rather difficult situation.
Thats it. Any suggestion to faciliate my problem is mighty appreciated.
