Los Delfines Hotel, Minorca

Advantages: Beach, Scenery, Monday Salou Market, Close to Barcelona, Cheap (there and presents to bring back)
Disadvantages: Some people - don't go if you don't like being pushed out of the way by locals!

...What a wonderful holiday! We searched the Internet for ages for information on our hotel prior to our holiday and found nothing - so here you are for anyone else interested in going! Hotel Los Angeles is 5 minutes from the beach, less than one minute to the bars (across the road!) and less than one minute to the restaurants and shops. It is very commercialised - you don't feel like you're seeing much of Spain, but the cheap prices for everything including our holiday and beautiful scenary and beaches make up for it. The hotel itself is a bit more than basic - it has 2 twins and either a single or bunks in the two rooms we had between the four of us (myself, my boyfriend and two friends, all early 20s). A bath and shower and TV (only CNN English speaking). The walls are paper thin. I would not recommend it as a hotel for light... Read review

Advantages: Sheer luxury
Disadvantages: Costly

...Me and my family stayed here a few years ago. You can't fault this hotel for luxury. After all it's a 5 star hotel. The rooms are spacious, it has a large open air pool with plenty of sun loungers. There are 2 restaurants which offer a variety of choices. However prices are high, and a better option would be to drive to Marbella about 10 minutes away. You will be spoilt for choices with an array of cuisines catered for. One downside if you don't have a car you have to take Taxi's everywhere which could be costly if traveling longer distances. A feature of the hotel is the cabane which is a 5 minute drive away, with regular shuttle buses to take you there. Here you can relax away from the crowds on your private stretch of beach or by the swimming pool. Full size beds will have to be booked in advance and sun beds are available... Read review

...i went to this hotel in october 2006, there was me, my husband, my 6 month old, 2 adult friends and their children who were 4 and 10. it was suited very well for children there was: childrens section for the buffet childrens pool arcade entertainment and games in the day and evening pony rides childrens cocktails smoking outside only play area there are plenty of things for the children to do out side of the hotel, there are arcades, trampolines and bouncy castle things. for the adults its just the usual, plenty of bars around and some good offers, it is about 5 minute walk to the main shops and bars but there are plenty around the hotel. It wasn\'t loud either. The rooms were clean and rooms cleaned everyday. The hotel was nice and reception helpful. i went for a week and the half board buffet was different... Read review
