Advantages: Tourist sites Disadvantages: Building sites
...As a budget traveller I found Berlin to be just okay. The problem is it is not cheap in comparison to some places. The transport system is okay and the people are ignorant......sorry about anglo-german relationships but they were. Berlin obviously is a historic and important city but with reunification the city is a building site and not very eye pleasing. However I am not anti-Berlin I saw many site and stayed in a great campsite on the outskirts. But unfortuantely Berlin wasn't the biggest highlight of our holiday. But you need to visit if travelling around europe....

Advantages: not very expensive Disadvantages: drivers mostly speak no english
...In Berlin are a super public transport system. Every 5 minutes a bus cames to travell people all over the world through Berlin. A ticet costs 3,90 DM an that's not very expensive. The busses are very new and tall, but not many people use such busses. I don't know why. I think that trains also be new. With the bus you came to all important places, for exemple the "Brandenburger Tor", which is in the middle of Berlin. When you are in Berlin, I would recommend you to drive with such a bus....

Advantages: the transportion,it isn`t far away from the inner-city Disadvantages: there are three airports in Berlin
...airport and this will be the one in Schönefeld. Schönefeld isn't in Berlin and it is a big airport, too.
The most people I know are travelling from the airport in Tegel because it is in the near of my home. I live in the northeast of Berlin.
In Berlin everything isn't such as big as in London but London is a bigger city. When I was at the aiport in London I didn't know where to go. We were four people and no one know something or had been there before.
Every year 10 million people fly from the Berlin airport tegel to their finsh country.
At the airport there are 14 places for the plane.
I think it is a good airport for Berlin and I hope the airport will be better the next years.
Next year I will be going to UK and so I hope I can go to London from this airport.

It must be very difficult to write a guidebook. So much information on a city or country to cram into one book small enough to be convenient for tourists. The guidebooks I have read (a fair amount- I like to plan!) tend to either have lots of information more
