I stayed at this hotel last weekend and can thoroughly recommend it. I was meeting an old school friend for a weekend of walking, chatting, theatre & good food. The Malvern HillsHotel provided the perfect base for a wonderful short break.
LOCATION:
The hotel is located near the southern end of the Malvern Hills directly opposite Herefordshire Beacon (also known as British Camp). It is on the border of Herefordshire & Worcestershire, about 3 miles south of Great Malvern on the A449. This is an ideal position from which to explore the Malvern Hills - you can leave the car in the car park and walk directly onto the hills. For those who don't want to walk so far, the Malvern Hills Hopper (service number 244) stops at British Camp, so you can just walk one way and then get the bus back (or vice versa). I think the bus runs from April ...
Advantages: Location, location, location! Disadvantages: Slightly pricey & a busy car park in the daytime
We've just come back from a weekend away at the Malvern HillsHotel. Having gone down for a friends wedding we decided to stay for the weekend and do a bit of walking.
LOCATION
The hotel is pretty easy to find as it is on the main road through from Malvern to Ledbury. It is opposite the British Camp car park and is obviously a hotspot for walkers and day trippers alike. Locationwise it couldn't be any better. You can easily access the hills from the hotel in both directions and we found ourselves a circular walk which actually went straight past the hotel - ideal, no faffing around parking cars or figuring out how to get from A to B.
EXTERNALLY
We had a slight concern when we arrived as the hotel was surrounded by scaffold, however we're not the sort to panic and it was clear that the work was external render only and wasn ...
Advantages: great film, fun actors, great location Disadvantages: None
Have you ever sat at work daydreaming that one day Brad Pitt (feel free to delete/add name as appropriate) would walk in , see you an instantly fall in love and that you would marry and live happily ever after? Well that's exactly what happened to Hugh Grant or should I say, William Thacker in this movie Notting Hill.
William is a book store owner in a cute little part of Notting Hill. Not many people visit his store so when Julie Roberts wanders in one day he thinks all his Christmases have come at once. Julie plays the part of Anna Scott, a multi award winning actress and Superstar (much like Julie Roberts herself). At first she does not see the cute side of William. At one of their first meetings he pours orange juice all over the front of her top. The she meets his room mate, Spike, played by the brilliant Welsh actor Rhys Ifans ...
