I travel regularly on business within Europe - usually economy class however - and I would rate Lufthansa as being one of the best all-round airlines.
Firstly, the quality of the cabin crew is exceptional. Always happy to help and very friendly indeed. Secondly, the in-flight catering is above average and is served efficiently and quickly. Finally, the aircraft used always seem to be newish and extremely comfortable. In my opinion for European short-haul only British Airways approaches anywhere near the Lufthansa service.
I would also note that having flown in the last year from Frankfurt, Bremen and Hamburg that the quality of German airports appears to be absolutely fantastic. They all feature state of the art and spacious facilities.
