I made my first trip to Germany on to get to German exchange earlier this year, not many problems about the outward journey, we had the wind behind us so we got in early and the English staff were fine. Some of the exterior of the baggage did get a bit damaged but sometimes that can be expected. It was the return home which was the problem.
Ok so we left on time, and got back on time but not once did a food trolley come down the isle so we had to eat what we came with. The flight attendants (german this time) didn't really get out of the way. I needed the toilet and had to explain where I was going, good job I can speak a bit of german then! Then I got a funny look when we flew over Macclesfield Towns football ground, understandalbe I guess as my reaction to it and they didn't have a clue about English football.
Anyway the main problem was when we got off, waiting for a bus for 15 minutes next to the plane to take us back to the terminal and then it was ANOTHER 15 minutes until the baggage came out. And that was jsut the start of it.
A small quote from the day,
"Hey Cal, isn't that your sock??"
Then his case appears, totally opened up and broken beyond repair with his personal belongings all over the carousel. And that wasn't the only incident, My padlock on the case had also been destroyed so it just laid snapped through the zips.
I would never ever fly with Lufthansa ever again, truely let down expecially as the flights were quite expensive too!
