I wish to recount the innumerable trials and tribulations I had to undergo when I recently performed my journey on your unfortunate airline for me. We were booked to travel to USA as I do often with wife on the 13 of Septemebr 2006 by flight no.LH 755 from Bangalore to Detroit via frankfurt often do on your airline.My wife is patient of spondyloleistheses and I had requested wheel chair assitance. This can be verified in our bookings and the wheelchair assistance was upto the ramp. I had great difficulty in getting this at Frankfurt and we were about to miss our connections to Detroit by your LH 442. Subsequent to our reaching Detroit I wrote to your US office on my experitences and your MS Delia Mancini, Customer relations Manager, North America informed me by email that it was regretable and assured us the the return journey would be uneventful. To be doubly sure I again wrote on friday 26 Feb 2007 to remndn her of our return journey on the 10th of March 2007 by flight no.443 Detroit o Frankfurt and flight Nn 754 Frankfurt to Bangalore. Our first truamtic encounter was at the time of checking at Detroit terminal. Your staff at the counter checking us in slapped me with luggage tag of $100 as excess baggage. I had weighed my baggage at home with domestic weighing scales which is what families have at home and not industrial , senistive and accurate weighing scales as you have at your teminals.The excess baggage accor ding tour counter staff was a mere 2 kgs! There were four bagges and across the baggages I was well within the limits. Before I could protest or voulnteeer to remove the excess baggage your staff at the counter forced me to pay the excess baggage under the guise that the luggage ws already checked in and was on its way to loading and could not be recalled now! This was unfair and coercive way to collect money without an oppurtunity for the passenger to exercise his right to remove any excess baggage.The reference for this luggage claim is DTWSX 023431 and passenger ticket no 2205916948677 On reaching Frankfurt there was no wheel chair and I had nobody to acess for any help. We were pffloaded at terminal C and I had to negotiate my way to terminal B and when on checking with security I was informed that terminal B was far away. After running around frantically I manged to get a wheelchair and assisted my wife personally by pushing the chair to reach terminal B. You may also note that the flight was delayed by 30 minutes. ( so much for the much vaunted accuracy and punctuality of Germans/Lufthansa) Therafter on reaching Bangalore I was not surprised to note that the wheel chair was missing again. Your flight staff on board were as usual incomepent and unhelpfull and could not get help my wife to go down the stairs. I am appalled at the experience suffered by me. My family ie my children , both son and daughters travel often by lufthansa. My son is scheduled to leave on the morning of 27 to Washington DC and my daughter is arriving on morning of the same 27 from Detroit. My daughter is scheduled to fly Business class on the 26 of April to Detroit. There after my son in law and grand daughter is flying in on the 9 of june from Detroit. I personally feel this paatronage of your airline is misplaced and tragic. As a family and children of lesser God and coloured Cacausians, we will ensure that we do not fly Lufthansa again and this e mail will be circualted to my large circle of well wishers and infulential business travellers.As a frequent correspondent with various newspapers across the world this email will be sent as well.
