We've booked our holiday for this year through Lunn Poly for the first time, and I have to say, I've been very impressed with them.
Myself, my husband and another couple had decided to go to Kenya on a First Choice holiday. I rang round a few shops and the Manager at Lunn Poly came up with the joint best price of them all. He also said that they guarantee to beat any quote. When I phoned back to say we'd had exactly the same quote as they'd given us, he offered to beat it by throwing in upgraded insurance for free (an extra £9.99 per person) and scrapping the amount you have to stand to before you can claim (which was set at £50 per person). We decided to book with them as he'd been so helpful getting us a good deal (saving over £300 on the same holiday with a couple of different travel agents), and he was equally friendly when we went into the shop to pay the deposits.
However, due to financial constraints, we then decided to cancel the Kenya holiday and book a cheaper one to Greece. Lunn Poly couldn't have been more helpful. They said if we changed to another First Choice holiday, we wouldn't lose the deposit we have paid so far, but could transfer it to a different holiday. As we had paid £220 per couple already, this was very good news. The staff in Lunn Poly were very helpful in getting quotes for different accommodation on a couple of Greek islands, and when we went in to sign the forms to change the holiday, it was done fairly quickly.
The admin fee that First Choice charge to transfer a holiday had recently gone up to £25pp, but the staff member in Lunn Poly managed to wangle it so that we paid the original price of £15pp. All along, they've been very helpful, nothing's been too much trouble (changing the holiday) and haven't even been offhand with us for changing it - I thought they might be, as they're obviously losing out on the money they make, as well as the money First Choice make. We'll definitely be using them again.
