I am an Australian who is on a twelve month working holiday in the UK and I am in the process of seeing as much of Europe and the UK as I can possibly fit into such a short amount of time.

At Easter I had booked to go on two holidays to Greece and Belgium which were unfortuntly cancelled due to lack of numbers so I was faced with three weeks holiday and not a thing to do. So I booked one holiday over the phone with a leading tour operator and was headed to Italy for nine days but was still unsure what to do for the rest of the holiday when I walked past a Lunn Poly office and thought I would give it a go.
I walked into the office and was immediatly greated by the staff with a friendly hello and told that they would be with me in a minute, which they were which is unsual for some travel agents as you tend to wait around looking at endless brouchers before getting fed up and walking out (well I do anyway). Anyway once one of the staff was free, I proceeded to tell them what I wanted as I had nothing in particular in mind and had not even looked at broucher, I wnated a holiday for approximately 5 days, half board with sunshine if possible. The sales person was very helpful asking all the relevant questions like how much I was willing to spend, was there anywhere I didn't want to go or any where in particular that I wanted to go. Once she had all the information she preceeded to look up all the available options including different locations, different standard of accommodation from 2 star to 4 star as well as different flight options.
After much discission making I decided to book a trip with Airtours travelling to Spain and Costa Blanca (which I must say was fantastic) anyway the accommodation was asigned on arrival which I was a little concerned about but the Lunn Poly staff assured me that the accommodation was normally in the main area of the town and proceeded to inform me that even though I had booked half board the accommodation could be self catering with a general meals area. This is what I ended up with, which was just what I wanted, 10 minutes from the beach and the food was brillant with 3 course for dinner and breakfast.
I was so impressed with the service I was given for this short holiday that I decided to book another holdiay the following day to America for 18 days and the about of running around the same sales person did for me with regards to chasing flight times and costs as well as booking extra accommodation at the end of the holiday was great.
The only bad point that I have found with this company so far is that you have to pay for the balance of your holidays within 10 weeks of travelling, which I must admit caught me out as most companies are a maxium of 8 weeks with some being 6 weeks before departure which I though mine would be as the company that I am touring with states in their broucher 6 weeks, however booking through Lunn Poly you have to pay 10 weeks before. But even with this little hitch I would recommend Lunn Poly strongly to anyone wishing to book a last minuted break or a well deserved extended holiday.
